Thank you for using our electronic confirmation. Enclosed you will find a visitor parking permit, campus map, and directions to RIT. When you arrive on campus, please follow the signs to parking lot D or G. Please display your parking permit on the dashboard of your vehicle. Once you park your vehicle, please follow the signs leading to the Gordon Field House (GOR). Our staff and students will be available to greet you and help you plan your day. Also included is a tentative schedule that outlines the activities we have planned for Open House. A continental breakfast will be available during morning check-in. If you would like to have lunch in our student cafeteria, Gracie's, you are welcome to do so. Lunch passes can be purchased for $9.75 per person during check-in. Students who are interested in applying to the School of Art, School of Design, or School for American Crafts may have their portfolios reviewed or critiqued from 12:30-2:00 p.m. Please note that students interested in our School of Photographic Arts & Sciences or School of Film & Animation are not required to submit a portfolio. Dismissal for Academic Meetings will take place after the presentation, and you will be escorted by department representatives. Gordon Field House (GOR) Academic Meetings 10:00 am - ~11:30 am Visit your first-choice academic major to learn from RIT faculty about curriculum requirements and our state-of-the -art facilities. End times may vary. You will be escorted to this meeting from the Gordon Field House. ROTC Presentation 11:45 am - 12:15 pm Hear from Army & Air Force regarding ROTC programs and scholarship opportunities. Admissions Presentations Learn more about the application process, what we look for and how we make our decisions. Time will be allotted for questions. 12:15 pm - 12:45 pm & 3:00 pm - 3:30 pm Presentation for High School Students Student-Alumni Union (SAU) Ingle Auditorium 12:15 pm - 12:45 pm Presentation for Transfer Students Portfolio Reviews: Art, Design & American Crafts 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm Representatives from each of these schools will be available to review or critique your portfolio. No reviews for Photography or Film & Animation majors will be conducted since a portfolio is not required for freshman admission to these areas. Locations TBD Tours: College of Imaging Arts & Sciences School of Design: Location & Time TBD Please note: All other Schools in the College of Imaging Arts & Sciences will conduct tours during the morning Academic Meetings. Academic Fair 1:00 pm - 2:15 pm Meet with representatives from the Colleges of RIT to learn more about degree programs at the university. This fair will allow you to get an overview of alternate academic majors in which you have an interest. Locations TBD Financial Aid 101 2:00 pm - 2:50 pm Families will learn about the scholarship and financial aid programs available at RIT. Staff from Financial Aid and Scholarships will de-mystify the application process. Time will be allotted for questions. Student-Alumni Union (SAU) Ingle Auditorium Shuttle Bus Schedule: A Shuttle Bus will make a continuous loop between the Student- Alumni Union (SAU), Institute Hall (INS), Grace Watson Hall (GWH), and Barnes & RIT from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm. Tentative Fall Open House Schedule Barnes & RIT Bookstore: Located at Park Point 10:00 am - 9:00 pm Ongoing Activities Stop by anytime during the times indicated below. Lunch - Gracie's 11:00 am - 3:00 pm Enjoy dining at RIT s all-you-can-eat dining hall, just one of RIT s many dining facilities. Tickets sold at Check-In or at the door, $9.75 per person. Other dining locations will also be available. Grace Watson Hall (GWH) Campus Tours 11:00 am - 3:30 pm Enjoy a student-led, 1-1/4 hour walking tour of the academic side of campus. Tours will depart regularly. Student-Alumni Union (SAU) Lobby Student Services Fair 12:00 pm - 2:15 pm Representatives will be available from a number of areas across campus to provide you with information on student clubs and support services. Residence Hall Tours 11:30 am - 3:30 pm A 30-minute walking tour of our residence halls includes a visit to a room and information on our tunnel system, campus safety, meal plans, and services available to students. Grace Watson Hall (GWH) Lobby Special Interest Housing Fair 11:30 am - 3:30 pm We offer campus living options that may fit with your hobbies or personal interests. Representatives from our Special Interest Houses will be available to tell you about their houses, answer questions, and give tours of their facilities.

7 Rochester Institute of Technology Directions & Nearby Hotel Accommodations The RIT campus is located in Rochester, New York. The third largest city in New York State, Rochester is on Lake Ontario, about midway between Niagara Falls and Syracuse and within easy driving distance to Toronto. The Rochester area is serviced by Greyhound and Trailways bus companies as well as the Amtrak train line. The Greater Rochester International Airport is home to most major airlines, including USAir, United, Delta, American, JetBlue, AirTran and others. Taxis are available at the airport, train and bus stations. RIT is also a stop on Route 24 of the Regional Transit Service, the area's mass transit bus system. RIT's main campus is five miles from both the airport and the NY State Thruway (Interstate 90). Directions to RIT: From the Airport: Turn right onto Brooks Ave., then a quick right onto I-390 South. From 390, take the next exit (Scottsville Rd.) and turn right at the end of the ramp. Drive for approximately three miles, then turn left onto Jefferson Rd. (Route 252). Proceed east a short distance to campus (on the right). Then follow signs for Open House parking in Lots D and G. From the NYS Thruway: Take Exit 46 and proceed North on I-390 to Exit 13 (Hylan Dr.). Take a left onto Hylan Dr. and continue north to Jefferson Rd. (Route 252), then take a left at the Jefferson Rd. intersection. You will travel approximately ½ mile, passing South Town Plaza. Immediately after passing the Radisson Hotel, turn left onto Lowenthal Rd. Follow Lowenthal Rd. to the end and take a right onto Andrews Memorial Dr. Follow signs for Open House parking.
