4 Community Involvement You must have 40 hours of community involvement completed to graduate. Paperwork is DUE to Guidance by May 28th

5 Private School/Other Credits Private School and other outside YRDSB credits to Guidance by Monday, June 4th MUST be submitted directly from private and/or non-yrdsb institution via mail/ /fax

7 Grad Fee.Last Call Grad Fee ($75) paid via School Cash Online Link will close tonight at 11:59 p.m. If not paid today, you will not be included in the Graduation Ceremony If there are extenuating circumstances - please see a vice-principal immediately following this assembly

8 Graduation Location Sheraton Parkway Toronto North Hotel 600 Hwy 7, Richmond Hill, ON L4B 1B2 (Hwy 7/Leslie St.) Take into consideration traffic along Hwy 7

9 Invitations Every graduating student will receive an invitation and TWO guest tickets. Each guest MUST have a ticket to enter (1 ticket= 1 guest)

10 Tickets You may NOT give your guest ticket(s) away to another student. Guest tickets are numbered and have been assigned to individual students. If you do not need two tickets, please return to the main office. A waitlist will be generated for students requesting additional tickets, if available.

11 Tickets Students requesting additional tickets will sign-up when grad materials are picked up. Additionally tickets will be distributed by random draw. We hope to accommodate all requests, but must adhere to the fire code at the banquet hall.

12 Graduation Pick-Up Day Friday, June 8, 2018 Very important! You MUST pick-up your grad packages on Friday, June 8, 2018 First 30 minutes of each period; Room 106

13 Graduation Pick-Up Day Graduate packages will include: Gown, Cap, Tassel, Invitation, Tickets, Grad Composite Submit vote for Valedictorian Confirm name for Marshalling Card/Procession Friday, June 8, 2018

14 Valedictorian Process Graduating students will submit application to be considered for valedictorian. Applications for Valedictorian will be available in the Guidance Office. Applications due Monday, June 4, 2018 by 4:00 p.m. in Guidance Office. Voting will take place during Grad Pick-up day on Friday, June 8, 2018.

16 Information For Graduates Arrive at The Sheraton by 5:30 p.m. Go to the Vaughan Room (lower level) Arrive wearing your Souvenir Cap and Gown! Choose your footwear wisely!

17 When you arrive Pick up your Name Card/Marshalling Card at the check-in table Gather in the designated Marshalling area Review Marshalling card and locate the Teacher Marshall responsible for your portion of the Alpha - signs will be posted

18 Information for Guests Doors to the ceremony will open at 6:00 p.m. Ceremony begins at 6:30 p.m. sharp! All guests MUST have a ticket Limited refreshments will be provided after the ceremony concludes

20 During the Ceremony Processional Order: Platform Party Staff Graduates Order of Ceremony National Anthem Welcome and Introductions Presentation of Special Awards

22 Information for Guests Edge Imaging Photography Individual photographs will be taken and available for order Parents/Guardians are not to leave their seats to take photographs

23 During the Ceremony Key Things to Remember: Your Alpha group will be assigned to a Teacher Marshall Stay in order Do not lose your name card

24 During the Ceremony Crossing the Stage: Follow Teacher Marshall instructions - rows of students will be given directions when to line up Hand your name card to the Card Reader

25 During the Ceremony Crossing the Stage: Cross stage, stop, receive diploma, shake hands, turn and smile Edge Imaging will take a professional photo Follow Usher instructions regarding return route to your seat

27 After the Ceremony Recessional Order: 1. Platform Party (all guests on the stage) 2. Staff 3. Graduates 4. Guests

28 After the Ceremony Refreshments in the Lobby An opportunity to take pictures with family, friends and teachers

29 Diploma Pick Up Diplomas will be available in the main office from July 10 to 13 Only graduates can pick up their diploma - diplomas cannot be picked up by others
