1 Nebraska Section District 16 Section 81 Nebraska Chapter November 2012 A Note from Your Section Chairman: Hello fellow members! Here we are with another month passed and we are still having great weather. Last month we had a presentation on welding aluminum and welding machines presented by Miller. It was a great presentation and I would like to thank all of those people involved in making that a successful event. Also, with the help from your contributions to the section and tremendous support from Matheson and Miller, we were able to give Burke High School some much needed welding supplies. This will help them better promote the welding industry down the road. Hope to see those of you that might be out in Las Vegas at the Fabtech show coming up next week. I will be attending with Mike Miller one of the top finalists from the pretrial to go to World Skills in Germany next July. Best Regards, Chris Beaty Section 81 Chairman November 27 th Joint Meeting with SE Nebraska Section Mike Long Director of Operations of Eagle Motorsports will be giving a presentation on Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) of chrome- moly tubing, motorsports welding, and the open wheel frames that Eagle Motorsports fabricates. 2 Burke High School Burke Blvd. Omaha, NE /1/12 Dear Mr. Fogleman, On behalf of the students and staff at Burke High School and particularly the Industrial Technology Department, I want to thank you for your part in the generous donation of welding equipment and supplies to the Burke High Industrial Technology Department. We really do value our partnership with the businesses and the people who have given of themselves to improve our program for our students. I am sure that there are many deserving schools in the metro area and we recognize how lucky we are to have been the beneficiaries of your generosity. Our students will have opportunities to weld and use welding equipment that they would not have had otherwise and possibly they will find a new career opportunity in the process. We have several Juniors and Seniors looking right now for the best path for their future. Please feel free to come visit us at Burke sometime and once again thank you!
