Volunteers Help Keystone s Senior Program Thrive At Keystone the strength of our programming and community is in large part due to our strong volunteer base. Volunteers serve our clients with kindness and dignity, offer ideas to enhance our programs and strengthen our community in significant ways. Last year 588 people volunteered in the Keystone senior program and donated more than 10,389 hours to our program! Wow we couldn t do everything we do without such dedicated support from our fabulous volunteers! Why do volunteers commit to Keystone? I keep volunteering at Keystone for the cookies, Rosanne jokes. But in all sincerity, I really enjoy working with the staff members like Jim. We always have fun while we accomplish our work so the time flies while I m volunteering at Keystone. Rosanne, photographed here with Jim. I volunteer for Keystone s Meals on Wheels because my parents volunteered for Meals on Wheels for many years and I want to continue the legacy. Plus, I m devoted to food access; no one should be hungry and Meals on Wheels helps with that. Helen Our volunteers tell us over and over how much they enjoy engaging with Keystone as a volunteer. Interested in joining our volunteer team? You can help with Meals on Wheels, plan our parties and events, create programming, drive other seniors to medical appointments, and so much more! Contact Teisha Magee at tmagee@keystoneservices.org or to find the way you want to be connected! We offer a variety of opportunities to volunteer and can be flexible with your volunteer schedule. 2 New In-Home Services Coordinator We are happy to introduce Niki Blue as our new In-Home Services Coordinator. Niki is new to Minnesota, she and her husband just moved here from Indianapolis. We hope their first Minnesota winter is gentle on them! Niki is learning all of the pieces necessary to keeping our Meals on Wheels program running. We are serving over 100 clients every day and it is sure to keep her busy. We want to send a shout-out to Caillean Magee for her help over the summer as our interim coordinator. Caillean did a great job and is heading back to college for one last semester as an undergraduate before she leaves for medical school.
