Hopkins County Cooperative Extension Service 75 Cornwall Drive Madisonville, KY (270) Fall 2016 Happy fall, y all! Summer has come and gone quickly, school has started once again, and here at the Extension Office we are gearing up for another great year of programming! It is hard to believe that I am beginning my third year with the Hopkins County Extension Office you have each played a role in helping make Madisonville feel like home these past two years, and I am so grateful for that. We have many exciting programs for the public to take part in this year, and I hope you will take full advantage of those. As always, if there is any way I can help you, please come see me, give me a call, or send an . Also, please join me in welcoming the new 4-H Agent in Hopkins County, Katie Jury! August 30th at 5:30 p.m. Pinterest Club. Join us as we explore recipes, Do-It-Yourself projects, health information, home management ideas and more! September 9th at 12:00 p.m. Lunch and Learn: Bone and Joint Health. A light lunch will be provided. September 15th at 5:30 p.m. Special Interest Freezer Meals. Learn how to prepare food ahead and freeze for quick and healthy meals made at home. September 20th at 5:30 p.m. Pinterest Club. Join us as we explore recipes, Do-It-Yourself projects, health information, home management ideas and more! September 22nd at 1:30 p.m.- Special Interest Freezer Meals. Learn how to prepare food ahead and freeze for quick and healthy meals made at home. October 6th at 5:30 p.m. Special Interest: Soap Making. Learn how to make your own soap at home! 3 Joining Homemakers The Kentucky Extension Homemakers Association (KEHA) is a volunteer organization that works to improve the quality of life for families and communities through leadership development, volunteer service, and education. Across the state, County Extension Agents for Family & Consumer Science work closely with KEHA members and clubs to provide educational programming and coordinating community activities. To find out about Homemaker Clubs in Hopkins County, contact the Hopkins County Extension Office! If you are interested in gardening, or learning more about horticulture, consider becoming a member of the Master Gardener Class! For more information, contact Horticulture Agent Erika Lyons.
