CHECK LIST FOR PACKING Soap, shampoo, tooth paste, etc. Disposable razor and cream as well as electric (remember Tizimin) Tylenol/ ibuprophen (or something similar) Pepto bismal, Imodium or something similar Band aids, Neosporin Sun block, mosquito repellent Prescription medication must be in original bottles from pharmacy to go through customs. Also over the counter medications must be in original bottles. Clothing Other Items Two good outfits for Church and school collared shirt and khakis, Casual dress Scrubs, shorts & T-shirt Walking shoes, sneakers, sandals with backs. We will be doing a lot of walking and working. A sweater or light jacket for cool evenings. For Tizimin older shorts or jeans you won t mind getting stained with paint (can leave them there) and old sneakers must use closed shoes in the country. T-shirts are best light and cool. A swim suit for the Xcaret Park Plastic shower shoes COMFORTABLE is the key word and modest is the second. We can do laundry plan enough clothes for 5 or 6 days. Clothing you wash might not get ironed. Old sheets, towel and a pillow. You can leave it there if you wish. You might want to use the bag that can vacuum seal and use it to bring home dirty laundry. IF not best have some where to keep dirty clothes from fresh ones. An inexpensive watch Inexpensive cameras (disposable kind are worry free) Something to read cell phones contact your telephone company A journal and a pen A small flashlight single size air mattress

Place Name Tags on all luggage Money Parents, use your good judgment should carry about $ One parent suggested you can change money here at local banks. If you feel uncertain about your student with so much cash, get a money belt to wear always. Backpacks are convenient for daily activities. Put the money you need for the day in your wallet and the bulk of it in a safe place on your person. Don t keep all your money together if you can avoid it. Delta Airline guidelines for international travel: May check in two bags, have one carry on, and a personal item such as a book or briefcase. Weight must not exceed 50 pounds; pounds charges for excess baggage fee. Items over 100 pounds will not be accepted.
