For returning students, WoW is a way to become involved and interact with students and campus organizations. Students will be available at most residence halls to offer help moving belongings. Kickin it Old School 90s Kick-Off Party 8 10 p.m. «Campus Recreation Courtyard Don t miss the first campus event of the fall semester! Enjoy free food, play games and hang out with more than 1,500 fellow Lumberjacks. Meet representatives from Campus Recreation sport clubs, WoW leaders and members from 16 Interfraternity Council men s fraternities. CCPD Résumé Workshop 5 6 p.m. «Steen Library, First Floor, LINC Classroom Are you looking for a job? Are you wondering what information you should include on your résumé, how to transition your high school experience into a collegiate résumé or just how to get started? This workshop will cover the basics of résumés and provide insight on what employers are looking for when reviewing your document. Students are encouraged to bring their résumé, either paper or an electronic version, as participants will be able to edit their documents during the presentation. OMA and Greek Life Yard Party 6 8 p.m. «Student Center Plaza Join us as we celebrate diversity and Greek Life with food, music and giveaways. You can meet, mix and mingle with fellow students and leaders from the Office of Multicultural Affairs, National Pan-Hellenic Council and Multicultural Greek Council Organization. NAACP Game Night 6 8 p.m. «McKibben Education Building, Room 258 The NAACP will host a night of fun games while teaching students about the history of the NAACP. Students will be able to mix and mingle with current NAACP members while eating pizza, playing games and competing for prizes. FRIDAY, AUG. 31 Second Annual Association of Baptist Students Barbecue Kick Off 5:30 8 p.m. «East College Street, Association of Baptist Students House Come join ABS for the second annual barbecue kick off. You can participate in games and learn more about what ABS has to offer. If you need help with professional attire, visit CCPD s Career Closet on the third floor of the Rusk Building prior to Sept. 5 to borrow clothing items at no charge. THURSDAY, SEPT. 6 Jobs4Jacks Workshop 4 5 p.m. «Steen Library, First Floor, LINC Classroom Learn the tips and tricks to navigating the Jobs4Jacks system. This event, hosted by the Center for Career and Professional Development, will cover how to: 1) complete your profile and make yourself stand out to employers, 2) search and apply for internships and jobs, 3) research employers and see who s attending an upcoming career expo, 4) take advantage of on-campus interview opportunities, and 5) schedule career development appointments. The session is open to all SFA students, regardless of major or classification. Involvement Fair 5 7 p.m. «Student Recreation Center Do you want to get involved, but you re not sure how to begin? Join other members of the incoming class of Lumberjacks to create the SFA letters on the football field. Homer 8 p.m. «Homer Bryce Stadium Take part in one of SFA s biggest traditions. Transportation is available for $2 for a limited number of participants, or just meet us at Lake Nacogdoches (West Park).
