April 10, /24/04/12 MOVED BY Councillor Ungarian to adopt the minutes of the April 10 th, 2012 regular meeting as presented Delegations 05.0 Policies/ Bylaws A. Bylaw LUB # /24/04/12 MOVED BY Councillor Halabisky to give FIRST reading to Bylaw , and to set the date of May 22 nd, 2012 for the public hearing at 11:00 a.m. B. Bylaw LUB # /24/04/12 MOVED BY Councillor Harbaruk to give FIRST reading to Bylaw , A bylaw to amend the boundaries of the Hamlet of Dixonville, and to set the public hearing for May 22 nd, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the County Council Chambers. C. Bylaw LUB /24/04/12 MOVED BY Councillor Foster to give FIRST reading to Bylaw , a bylaw to amend the Dixonville Area Structure Plan, and to set a Public Hearing for May 22 nd, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the County Council Chamber Municipal/CAO & Departmental Reports/Business 06.1 Government Services Council/Legislative A. Community Economic Development Training Program This item was brought to Council on April 10 th and tabled so administration

Mackenzie County Invitational Charity Golf Tournament The annual Mackenzie County Charity Golf Tournament will take place on June 20 th, 2012 at the Fox Haven Golf Club in High Level. They are also seeking sponsorship or auction items. 196/24/04/12 MOVED BY Councillor Halabisky to table the Mackenzie County Invitational Charity Golf Tournament to the May 22 nd Council meeting. C. Northwest Fire Conference Complimentary Tickets This item was tabled at the April 10 th meeting. 197/24/04/12 MOVED BY Councillor Halabisky to have Councillor Anderson attend the Northwest Fire Conference Barbeque on April 27, 2012 as a representative for the County of Northern Lights if available. D. Sponsorship Request for Peacefest 2012 The 2012 Peacefest is looking for sponsors for this year s event. 198/24/04/12 MOVED BY Councillor Foster to accept the sponsorship request for Peacefest 2012 as information and to have the request sent to the County Rec Boards. E. Invitation to Successful Private Land Forestry & Weberville Community Forest Association AGM The Weberville Community Forest Association is hosting an information session on successful private land forestry and their AGM on April 28 th at the Weberville Hall. 199/24/04/12 MOVED BY Councillor Harbaruk to have Councillor Reese attend the Weberville Community Forest Association s information session and annual general meeting on April 28 th at the Weberville Hall. F. Site C Open House The BC Environmental Assessment Office an Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency will be holding an open house on the proposed Site C Project on May 8 th in Peace River. 200/4/04/12 MOVED BY Councillor Halabisky to have available Councillors attend the Site Clean Energy Project open house on May 8 th, 2012 in Peace River. G. Letter of Support for Community Access Program Industry Canada has discontinued its funding for the Community Access Program and the Peace Library System is requesting the County send a letter to our MP requesting the funding be reinstated. 201/24/04/12 MOVED BY Councillor Halabisky to have administration draft a letter to Chris Warkentin, requesting the federal government reinstate funding for the Community Access Program. H. Misery Mountain Request for Letter of Support The Peace River Ski Club has applied for a Community Capital Assistance from the County. 202/24/04/12 MOVED BY Councillor Ungarian to accept the newsletter and fundraiser invitation as information. I. Fire Prevention Information Workshop The County is holding a Fire Prevention Information Workshop on May 14 th, and is looking for Council attendance as well as the Reeve or Deputy Reeve to deliver a welcome address. 203/24/04/12 MOVED BY Councillor Foster to have Councillor Harbaruk give the

Aboriginal Inter-agencies & Northwest Alberta Aboriginal Council This item was tabled from the April 10 th meeting. The Aboriginal Inter-agencies and Northwest Alberta Aboriginal Council are looking to enter into a partnership declaration and have Community Services continue to attend meetings. 204/24/02/12 MOVED BY Councillor Foster to have Councillor Reese attend the meetings of the Peace River Aboriginal Council as a representative of the County of Northern Lights Assessment Taxation Finance A. Roadside Mowing The tender for Roadside Mowing has been awarded to 4B Ventures for 3 years for $1,105, plus $125 per hour for additional work. 208/24/04/12 MOVED BY Councillor Halabisky to accept the Roadside Mowing tender awarded to 4B Ventures for a term of 3 years for $1,105,710 and $125 per hour for additional work as information. 2. Tender for Roadside Spraying The tender for Roadside Spraying was awarded to Green Zone Herbicides for $74, for 3 years. 209/24/04/12 MOVED BY Councillor Foster to accept the awarding of the Roadside Spraying tender to Green Zone Herbicides for 3 years for $74, as information. 3.
