Meeting Goals: Introduce committee members to each other and to the National Academies; conduct the bias and conflict of interest discussion; discuss the role of and opportunities for standing committees; and review the proposed statement of task. Discuss relevant background and issues of importance with representatives of the sponsoring agencies and federal entities, and other stakeholders. Discuss next steps to move forward on key issues; plan 2 nd meeting and identify speakers and topics.
