1 HEALTH AND MEDICINE DIVISION Board on Health Sciences Policy Standing Committee on Medical and Public Health Research During Large-Scale Emergency Events Meeting #1 Agenda April 13-14, 2016 Keck Center of the National Academies 500 Fifth Street, NW Room 206 Washington, D.C. Meeting Goals: Introduce committee members to each other and to the National Academies; conduct the bias and conflict of interest discussion; discuss the role of and opportunities for standing committees; and review the proposed statement of task. Discuss relevant background and issues of importance with representatives of the sponsoring agencies and federal entities, and other stakeholders. Discuss next steps to move forward on key issues; plan 2 nd meeting and identify speakers and topics.
