Deadline: Saturday, December 19, Gulf Coast Adventure Tarpon Springs, FL Tuesday, February 9, 2010 Cost $49.00 (includes visit to Tarpon Springs, lunch at Crabby Bills, and the Heritage Village. Gratuities for the driver are not included. Therefore, we suggest $2.00 per person for your driver. Minimum of 45 persons required. Checks or money orders only made payable to Vision Travel. Deadline: Saturday, January 23, Savannah/St. Simons Sunday March 7 Tuesday, March 9, 2010 Cost $249 per person (double occupancy). Cost includes transportation, 2 nights hotel, 2 full continental breakfasts, city tour of Savannah & St. Simons, professional step-on guides, and Jacksonville brewery tour. Gratuities for the driver are not included. Therefore, we suggest $12.00 per person for your driver. Checks or money orders only made payable to Vision Travel. 2 MANAGEMENT CORNER TRASH DISPOSAL Put your trash in the appropriate dumpster. There are dumpsters for recycling your newspapers, magazines, boxes, and aluminum/steel cans. Do not leave garbage on the ground if the dumpster is full. Breakup large items before you put them in the dumpster. Please adhere to the NO DUMPING SIGN. There is a trash can on the porch of the Club House to recycle beverage cans (proceeds benefit the Civil Air Patrol Cadets). *************** BOX TOPS ETC. The children at the Lake Placid Elementary School are collecting Campbell soup labels, General Mills box tops for education, pop can tabs, and printer cartridges for recycling. They are able to use them toward the purchase of computers for the school. They also get credit if you use your Target credit card for purchases. *************** LIBRARY Please leave the returned books in the box. Do not put them on the shelves. The library team will take care of them. Thanks for your help. *************** BULLETIN BOARDS The bulletin boards outside the Club House, at the mail boxes, in the Laundromat, and at the office are for park flyers only. All others may be posted on the bulletin board in the Rec Hall (items for sale, advertising work, activities around the community, etc.). HOA MEETING Wednesday, January 11th 9:30 a.m. The monthly meeting is held in the Small Rec Hall. All mobile home owners are encouraged to attend. SPAGHETTI SUPPER Wednesday, January 13th 5:00 p.m. $6.50 Menu: spaghetti, garlic bread, salad, dessert & beverage Purchase tickets in the office Monday Saturday or at coffee hour on Wednesday mornings. Deadline for purchasing tickets is Monday, January 11th. PANCAKE BREAKFAST Saturday, January 16th 7:30-9:00 a.m. $4.00 BYOS We re serving 2 pancakes, 2 bacon or 2 sausage, orange juice and coffee/tea. Plan on joining us for breakfast. SONSHINE CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP JUBILEE Saturday, January 30th 10:30 3:00 There will be clergy from local area churches speaking on The Holiness of the Spirit, The Holiness of Jesus, and The Holiness of God along with special Christian music. Lunch will be provided. HOE-DOWN SQUARE DANCE With Earl Welch Saturday, January 30th 7:00 p.m. Plan on attending whether you re there for the dancing or to just enjoy the music and watch. It s good exercise and great fun. MICHIGAN POT LUCK Sunday, January 31st 1:00 p.m. Sign up in the Club House. Bring a dish to pass and your own place setting. Beverages will be provided. KITCHEN BAND The Kitchen Band will start their practices on Thursday, January 7th, at 10:45 a.m. Our first show will be Saturday, February 6th and the second one will be Wednesday, March 3rd. We only have room for 25 people so if you won t be participating, please let Bill Monsma know ASAP. We have others who have shown an interest and he would like to let them know ahead of time. We are looking for people who may be able to help with special music. You may contact Bill at Host site #3 on Anita or by calling RED HATS Red Hats pot luck salad luncheon on Wednesday, January 20th, at 11:30 a.m. in the Club House. It s a birthday party for all Red Hatters. Bring a salad to share and a white elephant gift wrapped for a birthday gift. Cake, ice cream, and beverages will be provided. Come to celebrate your birthday with games and fellowship. See Dorothy Hill, Shannon Shively or Jackie Noyes. Sign up in the Club House if you are planning on attending if you haven t already done so. MEMORIAL SERVICE FOR JIM SEELEY Come celebrate Jim s life with his family and friends on Sunday, January 10th, at 2:00 p.m. Finger food donations for the reception following will be greatly appreciated.
