Box 460 Notre Dame, Indiana April 25, 2018 Holy Cross Associates Conference Reaches Across Country On Saturday, April 14, the Midwest Holy Cross Associates sponsored a conference with the theme "Discipleship: Bringing Light to a dark World." for Holy Cross Associates and friends in five different locations across the country via Skype. Bishop William Wack, CSC of Pensacola, Florida, was the main speaker whose presentation, "Men's and Women's Roles in Today's Church" was well received for its insight, care, and humor. Other speakers included Sister Brenda Cousins, CSC and Father Kevin Grove, CSC. Another highlight was a panel of college student Associates who gave witness to their experience of discipleship. Almost 100 people from South Bend attended. Bishop Wack s conference-presentation was by way of a Skype broadcast. Regions participating were located in California, Florida, Arizona, Ohio, Indiana, and Louisiana.. 3 Women s and Men s Role in Today s Church Bishop Bill Wack, CSC New Medicare Cards Coming New Medicare cards will be issued to all beneficiaries between April, 2018, and April, Your new Medicare Card will no longer contain your Social Security number but a new Medicare number unique to you. This will keep your information more secure. The new card will not change your medical coverage or benefits, just your number. Most of the Midwest Province cards will come to the Business Office and will be forwarded to you. However, should you receive the new card at your place of residence, please contact Jane Smith at the Business Office. Her phone number is and her address is jsmith@brothersofholycross.com. You will need to make a copy of the new card for your medical file and send it to the business office. Please remember that Medicare will not contact you by phone regarding this new number and will never ask you for personal information. 3

7 Driver Awareness Workshop Jeff Harrison conducted a Driver Awareness Workshop for over 32 CSC members. It was an hour class made up of a slideshow presentation followed up with questions from members attending the class. 7
