In addition to learning about the troops experiences, there will be musket firings and cooking demonstrations. On the 24 th of January those who lived here hosted parties at which the guests had the opportunity to hear the "the soldiers summoned to the house". Now you, too, may listen for the footsteps, hear the ghost stories, and visit parts of the house only open to the public on the 24 th January. Admission - $10 per person, Reservations required. Centre Hill Museum 1 Centre Hill Avenue Letters of Love and War Performance Hear the actual words of a Civil War soldier grieving for his home and his girl amid the harsh conditions of his life in the battlefields around Petersburg. This series of letters portray his life from October 1864 to March 1865 as written to a local girl. His love for her and the glimpses into his soldier s life have universal appeal.
