1 Admissions Information We Are Caseys Visit campus Open House Small group Tours Application Procedure We believe visiting our historic, vibrant campus, situated in the heart of Red Bank, is the best way to experience all that Red Bank Catholic offers. There are several opportunities for prospective students to visit RBC. Red Bank Catholic has two Open Houses to accommodate busy schedules. Teachers, student ambassadors, coaches, parents and alumni will be at both events to welcome visitors and to share their Casey experience. Open Houses will be held on: Sunday, October 19, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:30 Monday, October 20, 2014 from 4:30 to 7:00 The also offers small group tours on select days when school is in session. These visits allow families to experience RBC on a typical school day. Tours begin at 9:00 a.m. and last about an hour. Space is limited on each tour day, so reservations are required. Please call to reserve your spot. Small group tours will be held on: September 18, 23, 25,30 October 2,7,9,16,23,28 November 3 Spring tours for interested students and transfer students for the school year will be held on: April 21, 23,28,29 May 18 Red Bank Catholic does not offer a Student for a Day Program Students interested in attending Red Bank Catholic must complete the Application for Admission and the Release of Records forms available online at under Admissions. 2 Admissions Information Testing All students applying for Grade 9 must take the Diocesan Placement Exam (HSPA) on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 8:00 a.m. This Placement Exam is offered at all Diocesan High Schools within the Trenton Diocese on that date. We strongly recommend that you take the exam at the high school that is your first choice. Notification Acceptance at Red Bank Catholic is based on your completed application, 6 th, 7 th and 8 th grade academic, attendance and behavior records, any Child Study evaluations, if applicable, and the results of the Placement Exam. Written recommendations are not required but are very helpful in clarifying a student s application and/or explaining special circumstances. All applicants will be notified of the Admissions Committee s decision on or about January 3, Tuition Tuition for Red Bank Catholic for the school year is $12, A one-time $400 nonrefundable enrollment deposit is due by January 17, 2015 for newly accepted and enrolled students. There are three tuition payment options: Annual payment on June 1 Semi-annual payments on June 1 and December 1 Monthly payments from May through April Tuition covers most course and activity fees, including but not limited to text books, internet access, account, use of all school technology and school publications. Financial Aid We invite students to apply for admission regardless of their ability to meet the full cost of tuition. Red Bank Catholic awards financial aid on the basis of need as determined by PSAS(Private School Aid Service) an outside financial aid assessment program. Consideration for financial aid is made after a student has been accepted, enrolled and scheduled. Interested applicants should follow the admission process and complete the financial aid forms online at Financial aid awards are based on need and avalibility of funds.

This allows RBC to offer students over 350 courses, including 20 AP classes, in a unique, global classroom via the internet. Curious students can delve deeper into areas of interest, such as Environmental Chemistry or Nuclear Physics. Motivated students have the opportunity to start exploring specific careers or college majors with career development courses such as Engineering and Web Design. VHS also helps students resolve scheduling conflicts with a diverse course catalogue that allows flexibility. 6 Athletics We Are the Tradition Red Bank Catholic Athletics competes in 29 Varsity sports and has 48 levels of teams. RBC continues its tradition of developing accomplished student-athletes. In the last 10 years RBC sports teams have won more than 150 titles in both Shore Conference and statewide competition. 8 Casey Pride We Are Empowered Red Bank Catholic students, teachers and alumni distinguish themselves in many ways in many arenas. Their accomplishments are a source of Casey Pride. The following is a sampling of just some of the honors and accolades Caseys received last year as well as some of the unique events, programs and courses in which they participated. z One RBC student who is a National Merit Finalist was accepted into the University of Notre Dame s prestigious Glynn Family Honors Program. z The RBC delegation to the 2014 YMCA Model United Nations Conference earned distinct honors. One student was elected by 1,600 fellow Model UN delegates in the prior year s Conference to serve as Secretary General for the 2014 Northeast Region Model United Nations Conference, the highest office of Model UN. Another served as Chair of the General Assembly, the largest assembly and central body. At the 2014 Conference, an RBC student was elected to serve as Vice-Chair of the General Assembly at the 2015 Conference. Two RBC students were named Outstanding First Year Delegates, one earned Outstanding Country Position Paper and another student was a member of the group chosen for Outstanding Country. z In November 2013, RBC s award-winning choir had the honor of performing at Carnegie Hall as the only high school choir invited to be part of the American Festival Choir, a group of 10 renowned adult choirs from throughout the country. The composer has been nominated for the prestigious Dove Award for the music recorded at the performance. The choir has been invited back to perform again this holiday season. z The RBC Academic Team took first place in the 2013 Monsignor Donovan High School Academic Challenge. Students from 26 area schools participated in the 26th annual academic competition. Red Bank Catholic has partnered with Seton Hall University and Brookdale Community College to offer students the opportunity to earn college credits for selected courses which are transferrable to over 200 colleges nationwide, including Rutgers, Duke, and U Penn. z An RBC student received the 2014 New Jersey Caring Award for outstanding community service. z In September 2013, the St. James Elementary and Red Bank Catholic community gratefully honored the Sisters of Mercy for 125 years of service to our schools with a special Mass celebrated by the Most Rev. David M. O Connell, Bishop of Trenton. z An RBC faculty member is an instructor for the Summer Institute for the Gifted at Princeton University. z At the Diocesan Youth Celebration, an RBC student was honored to receive the St. Timothy Award. The award is given to a person who, like St. Timothy, is an example of love, faith and virtue, is eager to learn more about the faith and shares talents with the community. z For the fifth year in a row, the RBC School newspaper The Signpost earned first place in the American Scholastic Press Association School Newspaper Contest, and one RBC student was awarded Outstanding Editorial.

9 Casey Pride z Local Rotary chapters awarded two RBC students scholarships to attend the 2014 Rotary Youth Leadership Conference, a weeklong conference of approximately 120 attendees, selected by their local Rotary chapters based upon their proven leadership. z An RBC student received the 2014 Dwight D. Eisenhower Leadership Award, which honors exceptional students who have demonstrated outstanding attributes of character, service and leadership. z An RBC student was selected to be a delegate at the 2014 Conference on National Affairs, a weeklong conference of an elite group of students from around the country, held in North Carolina. z The local American Legion Post selected an RBC student to receive a scholarship to attend the 2014 Boys State Conference, a weeklong conference of approximately 1,000 young men from throughout New Jersey. z An RBC student received the American Legion Outstanding Achievement Award for his accomplishments at the 2013 NJ Boys State Conference. There he was elected to represent NJ as Senator to the 2013 Boys Nation Conference held in Washington, DC. At Boys Nation, the student was elected by the members of his political party to be their candidate for Vice President. z Six RBC students were awarded 2014 Friendly Sons of St. Patrick college grants. z An RBC student was selected to attend the 2014 Hugh O Brian Youth Leadership seminar. z Three RBC students received 2014 US Lacrosse Academic All-American Honors and one student was named 2014 US Lacrosse Honorable Mention All-American. z An RBC student was named Outstanding Featured Actor in a Musical at the 2014 Basie Awards, which honor excellence in Monmouth County High School Dramatic and Musical Theatre. Two other RBC students were nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama and one was nominated for Outstanding Featured Actress in a Musical. z Two RBC students received the 2014 Monmouth County Athletic Directors Sportsmanship Award. z The RBC internship program pairs students with mentors who offer practical experiences in various professions, ranging from local attorneys and hospitals to Barclay s Investment Bank and Standard & Poor s in New York City. Many students were offered summer employment upon completion of their internships. z An RBC football player was invited to play in the January 2014 US Army All-American Game. z Two RBC students were awarded full scholarships to Joffrey Ballet, one to the Jazz Program and another to the Contemporary Dance Program.
