Omega Omega Services For Soror Gwenda Willingham Services for Soror Gwenda Willingham, charter member of the Gwinnett County Alumnae Chapter, will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church, 3700 Pleasant Hill Road, Duluth, GA The Omega Omega Service will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. Sorors are asked to arrive by 9:45 a.m. The attire is black, no pants. 13 Chair, May Week Greetings Sorors, Have you ever wondered what can you do with your old DST Tees, special elephants, or other Delta symbolic trinkets? The Protocol and Traditions committee will join forces with the Membership Services and May Week Committees to host SMLAC's First 'Repurposing Your Paraphernalia' Workshop. Please mark your calendars to attend what promises to be fun event on Sunday, May 15, 2016 from 3 5PM at Snapfinger Elementary School (1365 Snapfinger Road, Decatur, GA 30032). In addition to a Paraphernalia Swap station, Sorors will have the opportunity to attend the following stations to observe, learn and actually repurpose your most treasured DST memorabilia including T shirts, elephants, and other special symbolic items. Details for each station are as follows: 1. Paraphernalia Swap Bring any DST paraphernalia that you are willing to swap with another Soror for their DST paraphernalia of similar value. 2. DST T Shirt Blankets Samples and demonstrations of how to make DST T shirt blankets, makeup bags, etc. Orders may be placed at this station for your own custom T Shirt blankets or other items so feel free to bring your T shirts to accompany your order. 3. DST Shadowbox Samples and demonstrations of how to make your own shadowbox will happen at this station. Feel free to bring your own shadow box (may be purchased from Michaels, Hobby Lobby, etc.), DST T shirt(s), and other Delta trinkets to make your own DST Shadowbox during this session. 4. DST T Shirt Purse/Designs Demonstration of how to transform your DST T shirt to a DST purse or other fashionable T shirt design. Feel free to bring your own DST T shirt(s) to make your own DST T Shirt purse or fashionable T shirt during the session. All Sorors are invited to attend this fun and creative activity! 14 Chapter Picnic Your constructive feedback has helped us restructure the Chapter Picnic scheduled for Sunday, May 22 from 2 5 pm at Pine Log Park (not Wade Walker) to include outdoor activities for all ages and CATERED cookout food. Financial Row will have picnic food vouchers available to purchase for $5 per dining Soror and/ or guest at Saturday's Chapter Meeting. There will be future opportunities to purchase a food voucher; however, it is imperative to hold on to your voucher so you can present it at the picnic. Just For Kicks Greek Kickball Tournament SM LAC presents a new signature event: "Just For Kicks" Greek Alumni Kickball Tournament on Sunday, April 24 from 2 5 pm at Rex Park (3499 Rex Road, Rex 30273) where sorority and coed teams will compete to win support for their community efforts and bragging rights! Sorors, please attend and invite other Sorors, Bruhs/ Frat, friends, and family members to this FREE event so they can set up their lawn chairs/ tents then cheer for their favorite teams, groove to the sounds of DJ Glass Dee, enjoy face painting, patron the concession stand, shop the vendors, and make this event a success!
