9 Announcements CLSA State announced the 2018 CLSA Conference will held from March 23-27, 2018 at the Hyatt Regency in Downtown Sacramento. Save the Date!! The September CLSA Webinar will be on September 20, NGS State Coordinator/Regional Advisor Update College of the Canyons Land Surveying department is beginning the initial coordination of a GPS certification program at COC with the department head, Regina Blasberg, receiving input from Chris Jones (KPFF Engineering) & Cesar Bregaudit (City of Los Angeles). For more info, Regina at Regina.Blasberg@canyons.edu Joker Raffle= $3000+ and 15 cards left! 9 The Joker Raffle is a fundraising idea the CLSA created to help increase funds and make the raffle more exciting. Here is how it works: raffle tickets are sold throughout the monthly meeting. At the end of the meeting a ticket is pulled. The winner selects a card from a deck of cards plus one joker. If the joker is not pulled, the card is ripped up and thrown away, lessening the # of cards in the deck. If the joker is pulled the accumulated pot is split between the winner and the chapter. The Chapter s Joker Raffle has grown to a pot of $60000; meaning there could be a winner going home this month with more than $3000.
