1 Berwick Area School District June Combined Work Session/Board Meeting June 10, :00 p.m. Administrative Office AGENDA Recognition: PBS Writer s Contest Spring Athletes-Baseball, Softball and Track Swing Chorus Modernaires Senior Video General: G-1 Approval to adjust the position of the 170-day substitute to a 144-day substitute and establish the rate of pay for this position at $13.00 per hour with an unpaid, duty free 30-minute lunch period. G-2 Approval to award the bids for general, art, and custodial supplies for the school term. (enc.) G-3 Approval of the revisions to the listed Berwick Area School District Policies: (enc.) 200 Pupils 210 Use of Medications 200 Pupils Possession/Use of Asthma Inhalers/Epipens G-4 Approval to hire Fayock Photography Hazleton, PA for photography services. They have the lowest cost package and are the most flexible to purchase additional photos. (enc.) G-5 Due to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, it is recommended that the Administrative Staff premium share for health care be eliminated as of July 1, Academic Affairs: AA-1 Approval of the Berwick Middle School Activity Account Report from March 1, May 31, (enc.)
2 AA-2 Approval of Crystal Eisenhauer as the coordinator for the Summer Kindergarten Readiness Program. This program will run Monday through Thursday 9:00 AM to 12:00 p.m. from July 8th - August 1st and is funded through Title I. Mrs. Eisenhauer will be paid at the non-instructional rate not to exceed 170 hours. AA-3 Approve the following teachers as tutors for the Summer School Express Reading Program and Summer Kindergarten Readiness Program. The programs will run Monday through Thursday 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. from July 8 th - August 1 st and are funded through Title I. Tutors will be paid at the instructional rate for teaching and the non-instructional rate for planning.
