Thank you for using our electronic confirmation. Enclosed you will find a visitor parking permit, campus map, and directions to RIT. When you arrive on campus, please follow the signs to parking lot D or G. Please display your parking permit on the dashboard of your vehicle. Once you park your vehicle, please follow the signs leading to the Gordon Field House (building #24). Our staff and students will be available to greet you and help you plan your day. Also included is a tentative schedule that outlines the activities we have planned for Open House. A continental breakfast will be available during morning check-in. If you would like to have lunch in our student cafeteria, Gracie's, you are welcome to do so. Lunch passes can be purchased for $8.00 per person during check-in. During Open House, you will have the opportunity to attend two Academic Meetings at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. The afternoon Academic Meeting is designed for students who want a general overview of a second-choice academic program. Please arrive promptly at 1:00 p.m. for the start of this section. The content of the overview differs by area and department tours may not be available at this time. Students who are interested in applying to the School of Art, School of Design, or School for American Crafts may have their portfolios reviewed or critiqued from 12:30-2:00 p.m. Please note that students interested in our School of Photographic Arts & Sciences or School of Film & Animation are not required to submit a portfolio as part of the admissions process. Grace Watson Hall (25) Campus Tours 11:00 am - 3:30 pm Enjoy a student-led, 1-1/4 hour walking tour of the academic side of campus. Tours will depart regularly. Student Services Fair 11:30 am - 2:00 pm Representatives will be available from a number of areas across campus to provide you with information on student clubs and support services. Residence Hall Tours 11:30 am - 3:30 pm A 30-minute self-guided walking tour of our residence halls includes a visit to a room and information on our tunnel system, campus safety, meal plans, and services available to students. Grace Watson Hall (25) Lobby Special Interest Housing Fair 11:30 am - 3:30 pm We offer campus living options that may fit with your hobbies or personal interests. Representatives from our Special Interest Houses will be available to tell you about their houses, answer questions, and give tours of their facilities.

6 Rochester Institute of Technology Directions & Nearby Hotel Accommodations The RIT campus is located in Rochester, New York. The third largest city in New York State, Rochester is on Lake Ontario, about midway between Niagara Falls and Syracuse and within easy driving distance to Toronto. The Rochester area is serviced by Greyhound and Trailways bus companies as well as the Amtrak train line. The Greater Rochester International Airport is home to most major airlines, including USAir, United, Delta, American, JetBlue, AirTran and others. Taxis are available at the airport, train and bus stations. RIT is also a stop on Route 24 of the Regional Transit Service, the area's mass transit bus system. RIT's main campus is five miles from both the airport and the NY State Thruway (Interstate 90). Directions to RIT: From the Airport: Turn right onto Brooks Ave., then a quick right onto I-390 South. From 390, take the next exit (Scottsville Rd.) and turn right at the end of the ramp. Drive for approximately three miles, then turn left onto Jefferson Rd. (Route 252). Proceed east a short distance to campus (on the right). Then follow signs for Open House parking in Lots D and G. From the NYS Thruway: Take Exit 46 and proceed North on I-390 to Exit 13 (Hylan Dr.). Take a left onto Hylan Dr. and continue north to Jefferson Rd. (Route 252), then take a left at the Jefferson Rd. intersection. You will travel approximately ½ mile, passing South Town Plaza. Immediately after passing the Radisson Hotel, turn left onto Lowenthal Rd. Follow Lowenthal Rd. to the end and take a right onto Andrews Memorial Dr. Follow signs for Open House parking in Lots D and G.
