22 You need to be thinking ahead for when the P P hits the at Fort Drum because sometimes it is very

23 What You Should Do: Plan for the emergencies that are most likely to happen here at Fort Drum - Consider how you will respond to emergencies that can happen anywhere, such as home fires and floods. Consider how you will respond to emergencies that are unique to this region, such as ice storms and extreme cold. Think about emergencies that may require your family to shelter in place (such as a winter storm), vs. emergencies that may require evacuation (long term power outage or wild fire)

24 What Fort Drum Will Do: Lead the emergency response - Work to fix what is fixable either independently or through a cooperative effort. Open shelters (gyms and barracks) when a fix is going to take longer than our Soldiers and Families can shelter in place. Plan, exercise, AAR COMMUNICATE
