42 42 Greetings Sorors and Friends, I hope this message finds each of you well and excited about the 73 rd Eastern Regional Leadership Conference in Norfolk, VA March 22 25, Last year, we launched the inaugural Sister-Friend Boutique during the 72 nd Eastern Regional Conference in Concord, NC, aimed at raising money to benefit the Eastern Region March of Dimes Team. The concept for the Sister-Friend Boutique came from Triumphant Soror Bettye Murchison and was hugely successful! Thanks to generous donations from Zetas and Amicae from across the region, the boutique grossed over $1200 in a matter of hours. All of the proceeds from the sale of items in the boutique were donated to the March for Babies on behalf of the Electrifying Eastern Region. With such outstanding results, we are excited to announce that we are making this an annual event at the regional conference in honor and memory of Soror Murchison. Here are the details: Each Zeta chapter and Amicae auxiliary attending the conference are asked to donate (5) new or like new (Zeta/Amicae related items ONLY) items to the Sister-Friend Boutique, which will in turn be priced and sold in the boutique located in the Zeta Market Place at the conference site. All proceeds from the sale of items in the boutique will be donated to the Eastern Region s March for Babies total. Chapters and auxiliaries are asked to bring their donations with them to the conference and drop them off at the Sister-Friend Boutique Booth in the conference vendor area along with the attached donation form. Donations can be dropped off in the Zeta Market Place on Friday, March 23 rd from 10am-6pm and Saturday March 24 th from 10am-12noon. All donations MUST be received by 12noon on Saturday, March 24 th in order to receive Z-HOPE credit. Again, please ensure that the items you donate are Zeta/Amicae related such as paraphernalia or items that are in sorority/auxiliary colors, are clean and in new or like new condition. Boutique will open for business on Saturday, March 24 th from 1pm-5pm. Z-HOPE Points: Chapters and auxiliaries donating (5) new or like new items will earn the maximum of (25) points. Please note: Only 25 Z-HOPE points can be given regardless of amount of items donated over 5 items. Z-HOPE Thank you so much for your support of this fundraising initiative and I look forward to seeing each of you at the conference! In sisterhood and service, Soror/Friend Cynthia Redfearn, Tau Nu Zeta Chapter Eastern Regional March of Dimes Coordinator
