1 C L A S S O F G U I D E Stanford Reunion Homecoming Weekend October 20-23, 2011 Dear Classmate, Ready or not, here it comes. Our 20th Reunion is just two short months away. If you re already on our Yes! list, read no further. Skip to the registration form, and we ll look forward to catching up with you in October. But if you opened this feeling slightly queasy at the thought of returning to the Farm, rest assured, you re not alone. We ve heard plenty of excuses for missing Reunion: crazy work schedules, kids soccer games, ill pets, flat tires. We get it. But here are six very good reasons why you should take a deep breath, bite the bullet, and get yourself to Stanford in October. 1. Brilliant, famous professors on timely topics you care deeply about. 2. An out-of-the-blue catch-up that turns into a valuable business connection. 3. Standing in a room full of people who are genuinely thrilled that you showed up. 4. An opportunity to dance in public without social or professional repercussions. 5. Cheering on the Orange Bowl champs at the Homecoming Football game with a quarterback who chose to return to Stanford over lucrative pro prospects. 6. We re not getting any younger. Seriously. Will we see you? Please say yes. It won t be the same without you. Until October, Cassandra Sandi Knight Events Co-Chair Jeffrey Neal Events Co-Chair P.S. Did we mention master PBS interviewer Charlie Rose will be leading the Stanford Roundtable on the future of America s schools? You won t want to miss it.
