Registrations for all programs are accepted on a first come first serve basis. All registration fees must be paid at the time of registration. Payment confirms registration. Pre-registration is required for all classes (except drop-in programs). Classes without sufficient registration will be cancelled. In the case of a program being cancelled by the Recreation & Community Services Department the participant shall be refunded the full amount of the program cost by a cheque (if the amount is over $20) or by cash (if the amount is under $20). In the event the participant is receiving a cash refund they will have one month from the date of cancellation to pick up their cheque. If the participant is unable to attend a program which has been paid for and the cancellation occurs a minimum of 7 calendar days before the start of the program, the participant must fill out a request for refund. The cost of the program will be refunded less a $10 administration fee. If the course is at the swimming pool a transfer into the next season can occur (only one transfer per individual transaction). If the amount is less than $20 the participant will have one month to pick up their refund. If the cancellation occurs less than 7 calendar days prior to the start of the program NO refund or transfer will be issued unless a doctors note is received by the Pool or Recreation & Community Services Department. If cancellation occurs due to illness (supported by a doctors note) a pro-rated refund will be provided. PAGE 1

6 Summer Day Camps Weekly Day Camps for ages AM - 4 PM / Before & After Care Available / 8 AM - 5 PM $ 130 / Child / Week Cost includes all activities, swimming, before & after care. Summer Splash July 4-7 Start this summer off with a bang! Popular activities like slip n slides water fights and crazy games like water balloon handball are all back. Fun on the Farm July Discover fun games, crafts and an awesome field trip centered around your favorite cute, scary and stinky farm animals. All Star Sports July Have fun and challenge yourself with activities like soccer, floor hockey and dodge ball. Thirsty for Theatre July This fun filled week of movie themed games, puppet shows and mask making and more will leave you giving it two thumbs up! Kids in the Kitchen July 31 - August 4 Learn new food tips and tricks that are sure to impress your family and taste buds. This week has exciting challenges, tasty snacks and fun recipes. Great Outdoors August 8-11 Get ready for fun survivor challenges and adventures to test your skills of teamwork in the great outdoors. Spectacular Science August Bring you lab coats and goggles to this camp because we are going to show you the incredible world of science. Mad Moves August Kick it and groove your last week of summer. We mix it up with everything from crazy dance moves to karate chops and kick boxing. PAGE 4

Those just wanting to join us for the Add on Activity can pay for the specific activity. Prices vary depending on activity. Dates, times and cost to be set in late May. 9 April 2017 marks our first year in our renovated centre. Below is a snapshot of our year. 674 Hockey Players, 147 Figure Skaters, 25 Speed Skaters & 265 curlers took to the ice each week Rocky Pass Memberships purchased & 102 participants in the Prescription to Get Active program. Rocky Arts & Crafts Guild welcomed 20 members & numerous friends of the Guild experienced the new space. Additionally, 85 tiles were sold as part of the Tile Wall Project with sales continuing. 16 2017 PROGRAMS CHAIR YOGA LOCATION: Doran Stewart Fitness Centre Hatha chair yoga motivates a sedentary or ailing population to move. Yoga poses are modified by the use of a chair and tailored to each participant. Classes are suitable for adults recovering from disease, suffering from arthritis or fibromyalgia and caters to populations with high blood pressure, cancer remission, and back/neck/hip or knee pain. Breath is a tool to combat stress, fatigue and pain. The program will increase balance, flexibility as well as strengthen the body and mind. By practicing functional exercises you can increase your energy to accomplish everyday tasks and improve your life. Every class is a different experience that will leave you with a unique yogic buzz, which makes this yoga very popular among all who practice it. The emphasis will be on toning by adding light hand weights, which will help you to focus on specific muscle groups. Modifications for various skill levels and low impact variations will be offered.
