Department Chairpersons are requested to call the President s Office at ext to schedule a meeting. INVITATION TO VISIT CLASSES President Ernest H. Moreno would like to make monthly visits to various classes during the semester. An invitation to visit your class would be appreciated, when schedules permit it. The purpose of this visit would be to provide an opportunity for the students to discuss campus developments, history and other issues that maybe of interest to them as well as provide an opportunity for brief questions and answers. A maximum of 30 minutes time is anticipated to be sufficient. Please contact the President s Office at ext. 8662, if you wish to schedule an appointment. 1

The meeting will focus on the Transfer Process and the Honors Program. Paulina Palomino, Transfer Center Director, will provide vital transfer information that you can share with your students. Some of the information will focus on transferring from ELAC to CSU, UC, and private universities. Also, she will review the student services offered by the Transfer Center. Susanne Spangler, Honors Program Director, will give you an overview of the Honors Program, and she will review the unique benefits for students enrolled in the Honors Program. 3 THE GREAT PUMPKIN S KIDS CONTEST Halloween Costume Contest All ELAC staff/faculty are invited to enter their children/grandchildren in The Great Pumpkin Kids Contest. Prizes will be given in several categories. All photos submitted will be posted on ELAC Website. To enter please submit photo of your child/grandchild in costume via to Susan Okawa at okawasg@elac.edu by October 29, The photo must be recent and no more than a year old.
