8 Other Residence Hall Accommodations Several halls will be used to provide accommodations during Alumni Weekend. We remind you that these residence hall rooms as you knew them. We use both men s and women s residence halls. They are sparse, with twin-size mattresses, no private baths, and no air conditioning. Single rooms consist of one twin bed. Double rooms consist of two twin beds. The beds may be bunked and, if so, cannot be unbunked. Each room will be outfitted with sheets (twin flat sheets only), blankets, and small towels. Alumni may want to bring personal care items such as bathrobes, alarm clocks, slippers, hangers, shower shoes, and additional towels, pillows, blankets, and fitted sheets/bedding, depending on your preferences. As these rooms are not air-conditioned, you may also want to bring a fan. You may bring sleeping bags for children so they can camp out in your room at no extra charge. Complimentary coffee and tea will be served in the dorm on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday mornings for overnight guests. Guests requiring food to take with medications are encouraged to bring their own snacks. Off-Campus Housing Options Alumni who want to be near friends or bring their families back to campus for a casual weekend generally enjoying staying in residence halls. However, if you are looking for a romantic or full-service getaway, or if you prefer private bathrooms and guaranteed quiet at night, the residence halls are probably not your best option. Staying in the dorms is convenient and economical, but it is not luxurious. If you d prefer hotel or bed and breakfast accommodations, you might want to stay off-campus at a nearby hotel or bed and breakfast. Information on area accommodations can be found at Our 2016 pricing in these dorms is $40 per night for single rooms and $45 per night double rooms for the first two nights. For Alumni Association members, the third night in both room categories is free. On the Registration Form, you can choose between your preferred dorm and being assigned a room where your classmates are assigned. The Office of Alumni Relations will do its best to accommodate alumni requests but reserves to the right to make changes based on the needs of the office. Room Keys Christian Hall: Alumni staying in Christian Hall can pick up their keys at Christian s front desk. At the end of the weekend, alumni should turn in their keys to the front desk. Other Residence Halls: Alumni staying in other residence halls will be given their key at Packet Pickup. Upon departure, keys should be dropped off in the Key Return box in each residence hall. All alumni are responsible for returning their keys. If a key is not returned, the alumnus/a will be billed $50 by the Alumni Office to cover the cost of replacing the lock and key. Furniture Removal Removing any furniture from the residence halls is strictly forbidden, and alumni caught doing so may be asked to pay cleaning charges. If you plan on hanging out in front of the residence halls, we recommend that you bring a lawn chair or beach towel. Pet Policy Pets of any kind are NOT permitted in any of the dorm rooms, unless they are service animals (e.g., seeing eye dogs). 8

11 Saint Francis University P.O. Box 600, Loretto, PA For many of us, the Saint Francis experience remains an integral part of our lives. Alumni Weekend offers us an opportunity to reconnect with classmates, faculty, and staff. Don t miss this chance to return to campus. Once you sit down on a bench under the tall pines or by the fountain and look around, the memories will all come back to you! Alumni Testimonials It was an enjoyable first ever alumni weekend for my wife and me. Reconnected with alumni I hadn't seen in years and met some newer graduates! We renewed our vows, savored succulent roast pig on the mall, saw a spectacular fireworks display, listened to ghost stories around a campfire, dined and danced, and got to enjoy a nice hike through the trails and pines. We will be back! Food and drink were great. Thanks for a memorable weekend! "Throughly enjoyed the entire weekend! However, just catching up with old and cherished friends makes the trip worthwhile." "The choices are great...you get to do what you want to do..." "Great people! Great fun!" 2016 ALUMNI WEEKEND
