2 The Law School, including its Student Bar Association and student organizations, will assist the victims of Hurricane Katrina by collecting donations from law faculty, students and staff. To increase the benefit from Santa Clara's efforts to assist the people and communities devastated by the hurricane, the Law School will contribute, from privately raised funds, $2 for every $1 donated by law faculty, staff and students. The Grapevine strives to be an accessible resource for SBA information, campus activity, and student life. It s the fifth week, and by now I hope that most of you have been able to crack your books open at least once or twice. I d like to take this opportunity to encourage you all to buy tickets to the this Friday evening. I have been both years and the good times never cease to amaze me. There are always great items up for live auction and the bidding can get intense. In fact one highlighted item is a dinner for at Professor Neustadter and Professor Rauch s home, prepared by none other than myself. If you have had my cooking you know this will not be something to miss. I think I made a dessert last year that had 500 calories in it per serving. Anyways, come to the Benefit, because you ll never know what kind of fireworks booze and law students will provide. So here s a Top 6 about why you should not miss the. Top six reasons why you should go to the Benefit: 6. You get to see what your professors are like with a couple of drinks in them. 5. Finally that bridesmaid dress you have in the closet will come to use. 4. You may get your picture in next week s Grapevine if you hang out with Roy enough. 3. You might get drunk enough to spend half your rent money on a dinner cooked by me. 2. The Hut after-party will give you an extra chance to close up the deal on that girl you met on the dance floor. 1. One of your classmates might fall off the auction stage into the bushes!
