THANK YOU FOR READING OUR STORY!
4 Arlington/Roe Community Service Project Highlights BACKPACK ATTACK SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE JULY 26, 2012 Since 1999, Indy BackPack Attack has made it their mission to collect school supplies for children in the Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS) as well as other Indiana schools in Marion, Boone, Hancock and Hendricks counties. Arlington/Roe s Indianapolis staff donated over 280 items to Backpack Attack along with 7 backpacks plus cash for this annual school supply drive benefitting Indianapolis Public School students. They have collected over 300,000 items this year to help students throughout Marion County. Stacy Russell, Niki Lucas and Mary Miller (l to r above) took our donations to the IUPUI warehouse and stayed to help sort supplies for four hours. Stacy and Niki were the Queens of Highlighters and Mary was on pen patrol! In addition, at our Louisville office, staffers organized a school supply collection for the children of Morgan County, KY. They worked with Ison Insurance Agency in West Liberty, KY, just as they did to help out with donations after tornadoes wreaked havoc there earlier in 2012.
5 Arlington/Roe Community Service Project Highlights UNITED WAY CAMPAIGN FALL, 2012 Arlington/Roe continued its partnership with United Way of Central Indiana with our biggest campaign ever: $33,300 was pledged by employees including Jim and Vickie Roe. United Way executives visited Arlington/Roe to say thank you. Family Haven in Michigan and United Christmas Service in Indianapolis were two of the holiday programs our offices supported with generous gifts, food and donations in The Humanitarian Service Project was supported by our Chicago office staff who worked at their headquarters as well as providing donations. L to R, Andrea Nehring, Audrey Mertes, Angela Cale, Sarah Immordino and Sharon Nerone.
6 Arlington/Roe Community Service Project Highlights MOVEMBER: TEAM ROEVEMBER NOV. 1 30, 2012 The moustache enthusiasts of Arlington/Roe are embarking on a battle of the truest test of man a thirty day moustache contest entitled Movember. See our team page or make a donation to team Roevember at All proceeds funds benefit the Prostate & Testicular Cancer Foundation. Arlington/Roe s Team Roevember celebrated the success of our first ever team for Movember, an international program to benefit men s health. Shown here comparing the international results are Al Grau, Chad Trainor, Eric Frankenberger, Patrick Roe, Ryan Smith and Michael Stanfield, our newest staff member from the UK.
7 Arlington/Roe Community Service Project Highlights COLLEGE AND UNIVERSITY SUPPORT AND INSURANCE STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS Arlington/Roe contributes annually to various colleges and universities that support insurance and risk management education. In addition, we fund a variety of insurance education scholarships. Arlington/Roe contributed to the renovation of Federal Hall at Indiana State University, now the home of the Scott College of Business. Shown above, Anne Duncan and Jim Roe at the Arlington/Roe & Co. Insurance Teamwork Development Lab, so named because of the extensive support for the ISU Insurance and Risk Management Program given by our company and our employees. Brenda Niederbrach, left, congratulates Mark Rogina, right, on his receipt of one of the Arlington/Roe scholarships given at The Katie School of Insurance and Financial Services at Illinois State University.
8 Arlington/Roe Community Service Project Highlights UNOFFICIAL CAUSES SUPPORTED BY ARLINGTON/ROE AND OUR PEOPLE Employees support many kinds of community service organizations individually, such as churches, business associations, schools and colleges, fraternal organizations, charities, arts organizations, sports organizations, humane societies and conservation groups. Because we are allowed to share these efforts, we are able to support one another s causes. As Edward Everett Hale said in 1902, I am only one, but I am one. I can not do everything, but I can do something. I must not fail to do the something that I can do. That is the spirit of Arlington/Roe. Above, Angela Cale of our Chicago office shows one of the quilts she has made and donated to Project Linus. Right, Molly Schumaker, Indianapolis office, volunteers frequently to assist in the adoption of greyhounds for American Greyhound.

The reason I am providing this information is because it is not always the money you throw at a problem but the caring that makes the difference. Brenda Niederbrach Illinois Marketing Manager Arlington/Roe & Co.
