The Task Force will present a draft of the plan, "Conceptual Restoration Plan for the Active Floodplain of the Rio Grande from San Acacia to San Marcial, New Mexico" for public information, discussion, and comments. Short presentation at 5:30 p.m., followed by roundtable discussions on fire management, habitat diversity and restoration techniques, river processes, drought and water savings, and cultural uses of the floodplain. (There are usually two problems presented.) Problem presentations take place on Friday, April 16, at 3 p.m. Then two groups are formed who will "brainstorm" the problems until dinner. The workshop continues on Saturday morning with a discussion of results around noon. We will be providing dinner, so please let us know if you will be staying.
