4 ARRIVAL DAY REMINDERS Please take note of the items listed below. Completing this list prior to the start of your program will ensure the best experience at IMG Academy. CHECK IN At check-in, you will receive: Sport Schedule Campus Map Welcome Bag T-Shirt Voucher Photo ID (Please remember to keep your ID on you at all times.) Room Assignment At check-in, you will want to turn into IMG Academy: Outstanding Registration Forms or Documents Money for Student Bank Account Tickets and/or Passports (Boarding Campers Only) Medications (Boarding Campers Only) MEET CAMPUS LIFE (Boarding Campers Only) Campus Life will show you to your room and answer any questions you may have about staying on campus. ATTEND GENERAL ORIENTATION This is conducted on your arrival day. Please see Campus Life staff for more details. ATTEND SPORT ORIENTATION (Please see your sport schedule for day and time) CALL HOME Don t forget to call your parents and let them know you have safely arrived to IMG Academy. ACTIVITIES Activity Calendars are posted Sunday evenings around campus describing what is available on and off campus for the upcoming week. Check out these calendars for more details on trip departure times. TRIP SIGN-UPS Off campus trip signs ups for non-paid trips are run on a first come, first serve basis starting 30 minutes prior to the departure time listed on the activity calendar. Campers must have their IMG photo ID to attend any offcampus trip. Paid off campus trips will need to be signed up for 72 hours in advance with a Student Activities staff member and paid for at the time of sign up. Activities are a privilege and may be taken away for misbehavior. ASCENDER HALL Ascender Hall offers several opportunities for fun, with outdoor basketball, sand volleyball court, and plenty of space for pick up games outdoors. All sporting equipment can be checked out from the Campus Life desk with a Student ID Card. SWIMMING POOL/ASCENDER HALL LAWN/ CAMPUS CENTER REC CENTER The Junior Swimming Pool is open for supervised activities within your sports or sponsored events. There is no swimming permitted after dark unless a specific activity is scheduled. The Ascender Hall Lawn is host to an outdoor basketball court and sand volleyball court open for free play during daylight hours. Equipment can be checked out with a Camper ID card at the Campus Life desk in Ascender East. The Campus Center Rec Center offers more opportunities for fun with a pool table, ping pong tables, and several TVs. Please ask a Campus Life staff member for more details on any of these areas. ON-CAMPUS EVENTS & ACTIVITIES On any given night throughout the year there are plenty of on-campus activities that help keep campers engaged and involved in the IMG Academy culture. Activities range from pickup soccer games to large-scale campus unity events that welcome all to join in on the fun. A few examples include: dances, pool parties, movies, camp fire nights, dodge ball tournaments, and much more! IMGACADEMY.COM 4 CAMPUS GUIDE

5 IMPORTANT REMINDERS CAMPER ID Each camper has been issued an IMG Academy ID card. The ID card needs to be worn around your neck and visible at all times. The ID card needs to be presented for: Entry to The Servery (Camper Dining Hall) Withdrawal of cash from student account Sign up and participation in any off-campus activity Pick up passports, tickets, mail, packages, laundry, etc. Check out activity/recreational supplies Trams and access to rooms *You may purchase a replacement ID card for $20 from the Hospitality Department (Campus/Clubhouse Desk) OFF-CAMPUS TRIPS WITH PARENTS AND HOST FAMILIES Host Family: A host family is an adult over the age of 25 approved by your parents or legal guardians. Campus Life staff must receive written permission from your parents to be permitted to go off-campus with a host family. Please have your parents send an to campuslife@img.com stating who you may leave campus with and for how long. See Campus Life staff in advance to arrange to go off-campus with a host family. Don t forget to always sign out with Campus Life staff before leaving with parents or host families. Students are not permitted to leave campus for any reason without properly signing out. SEVERE WEATHER / LIGHTNING IMG Academy is equipped with a severe weather and lightning warning system. 3 Second Continuous Horn Blast: Immediately seek shelter in the nearest building. If no building is available, follow staff s instructions. 3 Short Horn Blasts: Weather is clear and you may proceed as normal. 6 ROOM STANDARDS CLEANLINESS Keeping your dorm room clean at all times is required. For more information regarding room standards and expectations, please see the IMG Academy Camp Handbook. An unclean room may result in restricted permissions. FORGOTTEN ITEMS Frequent trips are scheduled to local stores so that you may purchase any forgotten items such as toothpaste, shampoo, and sunscreen. Please notify staff of any emergency needs. You may purchase DeepSport sheet sets, towels, locks, toiletry items, and Sweat X laundry detergent at the IMG Academy Bookstore. Blankets are available and may be picked up from the Campus Life desk at each residence hall upon request. MOVING BEDS / ROOMS Please see Campus Life staff if you wish to change rooms or beds. You may not change beds or rooms without permission from the Campus Life staff and Housing Committee. Room and bed change requests will be processed within two business days after the request was received and are not able to be completed on Sundays. DAMAGE TO IMG PROPERTY Accidents can happen! If you break something, please let us know and we will help you. The rooms are inspected on a daily basis. You will be required to pay for the damage. Damage not accounted for will be charged to the entire room. You are encouraged to inspect the room upon check-in. Please note any existing room damage and show it to a Campus Life staff member. SERVICES HEALTH SERVICES Health Services is located in the back of the Campus Center & is open 24 hours a day & is staffed with RN s & LPN s. Please remember: All medications MUST be brought to Health Services upon arrival. All medications will be administered in Health Services for the safety of all athletes. If you have a severe allergy, please make sure it is reported to Health Services. Wash your hands frequently. Use an alcohol based hand sanitizer that is provided throughout campus. Do not share items such as water bottles, razors, tooth brushes, utensils or clothes. Cover your nose & mouth with a tissue when sneezing; cough into your elbow. Report any illness to Campus Life Staff or Health Services immediately. Use sunscreen & bug spray daily. Hydrate frequently with Gatorade & water. The electrolytes need to be replenished from sweating in the hot climate. Gatorade hydration stations are located throughout campus. Eat breakfast before going to sport. Report to Health Services prior to sport if feeling sick in any way. Report an injury to your athletic trainer at your designated sport. Health Services will notify a parent before scheduling a doctor s appointment for illness or injury. 7 LAUNDRY Laundry facilities are located at each of our housing locations. You may choose the Wash & Fold service at the Laundry Room facility or purchase a laundry card to be used at each housing location. Please see Campus Life staff for more information. West Campus laundry facilities are located in Ascender East and West. Self- Serve laundry card machines are located on all floors. Sweat X laundry detergent may be purchased in the Book Store. Wash and fold service bags are available for purchase in the Book Store. LOST AND FOUND Please report to Campus Safety staff immediately any lost or stolen items. You will be asked to fill out a Theft/Loss Report. Campus Safety staff will explain how we can further assist you. IMG Academy is not responsible for any lost or stolen items. WELLNESS SPA A full-service salon is located on East Campus next to Champions Hall. Our highly-trained professionals can help you choose the service that best meet your body s needs. To schedule your next Wellness Spa visit, please contact us at WellnessSpa@img.com or DINING OPTIONS La Boulangerie Located in the Campus Center across from the Campus Desk. Open from 6a-8p Daily. La Boulangerie features fresh Illy Coffees, Espresso, Lattes and Cappuccinos. Fresh Baked Pastries, Cookies, Delectable Desserts, Sandwiches made with Homemade Breads and Salads all made daily. Fuzion Located in the Campus Center. Open from 11a-10p Daily. Fuzion is where cuisines from the East & West meet to create a delicious blend of flavors and combinations to delight any taste and Fuzion offers Fresh Rolled Sushi every Day. Brick Oven Located in the Campus Center. Open from 11a-10p Daily. A true Brick Oven experience in less than three minutes, and topped just the way you like it Choose from 20 different toppings to create your pizza just the way you want it. Brick Oven also offers Calzones, Chicken Parmesan Sandwiches and a Meatball Sub you have to see to believe. Servery Located in the Campus Center. Meal Serving Times: Breakfast 6a-830a, Lunch 11a-130p, Dinner 5p-730p every day of the week. The Servery is buffet style dining experience leaving our diners the ability to choose from a variety of offerings that change daily. The Servery is open to all guests of IMG Academy Breakfast $11 per person, Lunch $15 and Dinner $19. Smoothie King Located on East Campus across from the weight room and on West Campus in the Stadium concession area, Smoothie King is devoted to inspiring guest to have an active and healthy lifestyle. Please be advised Smoothie King products are not included as part of the camper s regular meal package and must be paid for with cash, credit card, or personal spending account. ** IMG Academy Food & Beverage Department is a Nut Free environment, and offers Gluten Friendly Options for our guests. Please feel free to reach out to Nathan Chambers F&B Director (nathan.chambers@img.com) or Chef Jeremy Thayer (jeremy.thayer@img.com) for specific questions about dining on campus.** MAIL ** All mail sent to the Academy must be marked with the campers room number for proper delivery.** Ascender Hall: Mail will be delivered to the Campus Life desk for you to pick up. How to Send Mail: To send packages, please go to the mailroom. **The Mail Room is closed on the weekends.** If shipping via the US Postal Service, any outgoing mail received will be sent out the following day by 9:30am. If shipping via UPS, any outgoing UPS packages must be turned in prior to 4:00pm as this is the last pick up of the day. Items to ship must be ready to go. Mailroom does not provide boxes. HOSPITAL FOR SPECIAL SURGERY Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) is the nation s #1 hospital for orthopedics (U.S. News & World Report, ). IMG and HSS have partnered to deliver world class physical therapy services to our student-athletes to ensure that they get the best medical care possible. IMG Academy campers all receive special VIP access to HSS medical services at their hospital in NYC. Stop by the HSS Physical Therapy area in the Sports Therapy Department next to the Weight Room or call for more information. STREAMSPORTS StreamSports specializes in providing high quality sports film and highlight reels for player development and recruitment. StreamSports will be offering its filming and highlight reel services to capture your IMG sports-action in high definition. StreamSports films from Skypods, reaching a height of 25 feet, providing the perfect viewing angle for coaches, players and parents. Have StreamSports create the perfect Highlight Reel for your child to showcase his or her skills. MOTUS TESTING If you have elected to sign up for a Motus 3D Motion Analysis, the following information will help you prepare for your testing day. GSSI TESTING For over 30 years, the Gatorade Sports Science Institute (GSSI) has been committed to helping athletes optimize performance through cutting-edge sports science research, service, education, and innovation. With a satellite lab on campus, IMG Academy athletes have the opportunity to experience the research and educational offerings at the facility. Information from the different tests and services provided can help athletes understand their strengths and identify areas of opportunity. All athletes interested in GSSI and/or testing are encouraged to stop by our lab located in the IMG Performance and Sports Science Center (West Campus). To be considered for participation, the athlete and a parent (for athletes under 18) will be required to complete several forms, which will vary depending on the testing to be completed. Scheduling of services is contingent on the length of stay on campus, securing medical clearance, and lab availability.
