2 SUMMER / FALL 2018 GUIDELINES FOR REGISTRATION Students are asked to read these guidelines in preparation for the summer session and fall semester. REGISTRATION PERIOD Students will submit registrations online. On line registration dates are as follows: Summer: Sophomore/Junior/Senior students will begin March 18 (12:00 a.m.) and end May 29 (11:59 p.m.) Freshman students will begin March 25 (12:00 a.m.) and end May 29 (11:59 p.m.) Fall: Sophomore/Junior/Senior students will begin March 18 (12:00 a.m.) and end August 27 (11:59 p.m.) Freshman students will begin March 25 (12:00 a.m.) and end August 27 (11:59 p.m.) Freshmen Sophomore Junior Senior Earned Credits Earned Credits Earned Credits Earned Credits If you are planning to take courses in the summer and fall, you should register for both terms at this time. Students hoping to get their preferred courses should register early. ADVISEMENT You will meet with your academic advisor to discuss your course work. Course sequence should be followed as indicated in the College Catalog. The College Catalog is found on the Trocaire College web site: click on the Academics tab. Once your advisor approves your registration, you may go online to submit your registration during the time listed above. You will not be able to register after the drop/add period. STEPS TO ONLINE REGISTRATION: 1. Log into the Student Portal: Enter the correct semester for which you are Registering: SU-18 for Summer FA-18 for Fall 2. Click on Registration 3. Select Courses 4. Click on Process Registration 5. Read and accept the Liability Statement (you will not be registered if you click cancel). 6. Indicate whether or not you are filing a FAFSA 7. Print your schedule 8. Log off Student Portal (click log off under your name) NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION New students are to register with the Advisement and Student Service Center. Please call at (716) to schedule an appointment. All new students must also see the Financial Aid Office. RETURNING STUDENTS Students who have taken a leave of absence must make an appointment with Advisement and Student Service Center (Room 140) to register. Please call (716) Students who have not taken a leave of absence and have been away from Trocaire College for a semester or more must reapply to the college. Once an acceptance is received, they need to make an appointment with Advisement and Student Service Center. Complete the FAFSA form ( and if you are full time, also complete an Express TAP application by following the link on the FAFSA confirmation page. The deadline for turning in your Aid for Part- Time Study (APTS) application for the fall 2018 semester is August 31, This application is found on Trocaire s Financial Aid website or in the Financial Aid Office (Room 113). New / Transfer Students: All students are asked to complete the appropriate financial aid forms in order for the Financial Aid Office to determine your eligibility for grants, scholarships, loans, work study, etc. If you have any questions or would like an appointment with a Financial Aid Advisor, please call the Financial Aid Office at (716) STUDENT ACCOUNTS (BILLING & TUITION) INFORMATION Financial Arrangements: When students register, they become liable for tuition and fees. Students paying in full should make checks payable to Trocaire College and mail to the Office of Student Accounts. The college also accepts payments made by APPLE PAY or ANDROID PAY, VISA, DISCOVER, MASTERCARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS. The Statement of Account, you receive prior to the start of the semester, will provide the option of paying your entire balance due (Option A) or selecting a Payment Plan (Option B), signing up with FACTS Management, a third party billing agency. There will be a $25.00 administrative fee for selecting Option B. There will be a $ fee to those who fail to choose either option or fail to complete the financial aid paperwork (FAFSA). Statement of Accounts will be available for returning students via the E- Student portal. Payment in full for Option A is due by August 27, 2018.

3 If using Option B payments are deducted the fifth of every month beginning in August for the fall semester. If the fifth day falls on the weekend or a holiday, the payment is deducted the next business day. Failure to do so may result in late fees to your account. September 10 th October 12 th December 14 th LATE FEE SCHEDULE 5% Late Fee added Final Notice Mailed 30% late fee and account placed in collection *Late fees will be added to the balance outstanding on a student s account as of the dates indicated above. If a student is placed in collection, they are responsible for late fees, collection, and legal fees necessary to collect the debt. Students will not receive grades or transcripts of records until all financial obligations are met. Registration of course(s) constitutes full financial liability. Failure to attend classes for which students have registered, does not absolve them from financial liability. Withdrawals/Drops must be in writing. Cost of transportation to clinical areas, if required, is the responsibility of the student. Books and supplies may be purchased at the on campus Barnes and Noble Bookstore, where Apple Pay, Android Pay, VISA, MASTERCARD, DISCOVER and AMERICAN EXPRESS are accepted. Any damage to College property will be charged to the student. The College will not be responsible for the loss of money or other valuables. TUITION & FEES (Subject to Change) Full time students (12-19 credits) $ 8, Per credit hour over 19 credits Part time students (per credit) Summer Clinical Charges: Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Echocardiography and Radiologic Technology $ 4, FEES: Clinical Fee: $ Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Echocardiography, Massage Therapy, Nursing (A.A.S.), Practical Nursing, Radiologic Technology, and Surgical Technology Malpractice Insurance, per internship: $ Full & part time students in Healthcare Informatics, Hospitality Management, and Nutrition and Dietetics. College Fee (6 or more credits) $ College Fee (1-5 credits/per credit hour) Summer Laboratory Fee: Anatomy & Physiology I and II Business, Computer, Science Fee for checks returned for non-sufficient funds Audit: Half-credit hour rate plus applicable fees TUITION LIABILITY POLICY Failure to attend any class(es) for which students have registered does not absolve them from financial liability. Request for withdrawal must be submitted in writing to Advisement and Student Service Center (Room 140) and processed in the Registrar s Office (Room B14). If a student withdraws from the College for unavoidable reasons, tuition will be refunded as follows: Fall 2018 Withdrawal Schedule Within First Week August 20 August % of tuition Within Second Week August 28 Sept. 3 80% of tuition Within Third Week Sept. 4 Sept % of tuition Within Fourth Week Sept. 11 Sept % of tuition Within Fifth Week Sept. 18 Sept % of tuition Students that completely withdraw from the College may be subject to the Federal Title IV Refund Policy. This policy is based on Federal Regulations and the College is required to follow them in certain circumstances. Trocaire Offers Special Rates! Alumni Discount: Trocaire Alumni enjoy a discount when they register for credit courses. Check with the Financial Aid Office (Room 113) for more information. Auditing: Trocaire welcomes students to audit classes. Some restrictions apply and registration depends on space availability. Check the college catalog for additional information. Audit fees are half-credit rate plus applicable fees. Senior Citizens: Persons 62 years of age and older are welcome to register for classes on space availability, tuition free basis. Participation is limited to 9 credits per academic year. Students receiving Veterans Benefits verify their benefits with the Financial Aid Office BOOKSTORE A Barnes and Noble College Bookstore is located at the front entrance of the College. A listing of textbooks and prices plus additional products and technology available for purchase can be found on the Trocaire College Bookstore website: COURSE CANCELLATION While every effort is made to offer all courses advertised in the course schedule, at times, conditions exist which may prevent the offering of a course. Conditions under which the College has the right to cancel a course included, but are not limited to: Insufficient student enrollment, lack of appropriate faculty and lack of financial resources. Trocaire will make every effort to assist students who have registered for a cancelled course to enroll in an alternative course so the student may meet graduation requirements. 4 SUMMER AND FALL 2018 INTERNET-BASED ONLINE COURSES Online courses offer students the advantage of completing, by using internet technology. But to be successful in online courses students must be: disciplined, self-motivated, computer literate and have regular access to a computer with internet connection.
