W NL meals and small groups will resume January 15, Come join us for a delicious meal at 5:00 p.m. in e Fellowship Hall. Meodist Belief, led by Rev. John Branning will start at 6:00 p.m. immediately following e W NL meal. Adult menu: Roast pork loin, rice & gravy, turnip greens, breaded okra, baby lima beans, salad bar, rolls, assorted desserts and ice cream. Kids menu: Chicken nuggets, fries, assorted desserts. Please make your reservations no later an 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 14 by calling e church office at st GILMORE CIRCLE - The Gilmore Circle meeting has been cancelled for Tuesday, January 21 at 9:30 a.m. MISSIONS AND EVANGELISM CHILI COOK OFF BENEFIT FOR DAWSON SMITH There will be a Chili Cook Off is Sunday, January 12 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at Poplar Springs Drive Meodist Church benefitting 2 year old Dawson Smi, who will be undergoing a bone marrow transplant at Birmingham Children s Hospital. The cost to enter e cook off is $5.00. Please enter your chili to help is 2 year old! CUMC PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY NEEDS YOU! The Prayer Shawl Ministry will meet again Monday, January 13 at 3:00 p.m. There will NOT be a meeting Monday, January 20 due to e Church office being closed. W e need your help! You do not have to attend e Monday Prayer Shawl Group to participate but come to e meetings if you can. Even ough Christmas Day has come and gone, ere are still so many people at need help. W i e weaer being so cold or rainy outside, The People s Charity Clinic still needs blankets, coats, sweaters, gloves, socks, etc. in order to help people stay warm and dry. The homeless may be sleeping in a tent or under a bridge so if you can help in any way, ey will appreciate anying! If you have hotel privilege points, ey can be used to house some of e most vulnerable adults in a room. Any of e above items including e hotel points would be greatly appreciated. If you would like to donate any of ese items, you may drop em off at e clinic located at 310 Russell Drive, call Christie Rainer at or her at Crain42@aol.com. CENTRAL S ANNUAL 5k RUN - MARCH 1, 2014 Central s Annual 4k Run promises to be anoer big event for all of us but we need your help. W e are offering sponsorship opportunities for e run and work has already begun on getting ese sponsorships. More information about e run will be coming out soon. W e are very excited about is event and hope at you will be a part of it. Last year, ere were over 300 runners and over $4000 raised for e Boys and Girls Club. If you are unable to partner wi e race in sponsorship, ere are oer ways in which to serve. W e are going to need volunteers to assist before and on race day. Thank you in advance for your support.
