1 It s Time The North Carolina Chapter of SWANA is holding its Annual Equipment/Truck Road-E-O on May 18-19, 2018, in Raleigh North Carolina hosted by City of Raleigh, Republic Services, and Waste Industries. Road-E-O information may be accessed on the NC SWANA web page at Questions regarding Road-E-O registration should be directed to Marcie (704) and/or John Pfleger (919) Contestants representing public and private waste collection agencies will be competing for top driving, operating, and mechanical honors. Drivers are required to maneuver competition vehicles through a preset course, and mechanics are tested in areas of troubleshooting and diagnostics. All categories are judged on accuracy and time NC SWANA Road-E-O winners will receive trophies, cash awards, and recognition as being the best of the best in North Carolina! First and second place winners will be eligible to go to the SWANA International Road-E-O to be held in Denver, Colorado. The company sponsor of the first place winner is required to submit the request for reimbursement. Participation in the International Road-E-O is not required; however, those who wish to participate in the International Road-E-O will be responsible for the balance of expenses. The Awards Ceremony and Banquet will begin at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, May 19th at Road-E-O Headquarters, Embassy Suites Hotel in Cary, North Carolina, with trophies, cash awards, door prizes, and a dinner buffet with a wide variety of food.

Contestant Registration/Application: The contestant must be a member of SWANA or work for a public or private sector entity who has at least one member belonging to the association. Competitors must be employed in the field in which they are competing at the time of the Road-E-O and have worked in that area for a minimum of one year. Registrations and Applications are to be received no later than May 1, 2018 and return by fax, , or mail. Return information is provided below. Payments are to be received no later than May 19, All participating contestants and their guests will be required to sign a Release and Waiver of Liability, Assumption of Risk and Indemnity Agreement when checking in and picking up information packet at Event Headquarters.
