Up for the challenge? NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month. During the month of November, budding authors aim to write a novel in 30 days! The Auburn Public Library will be a designated writing space, and host several programs dedicated to the novel writing experience. All NaNoWriMo events are free and open to all ages, except where otherwise noted. Refreshments will be provided at all events. 6 Beginner s Crochet Class Have you always wanted to learn how to crochet but didn t know where to start? The Auburn Public Library will be hosting FREE crochet classes for absolute beginners! In these classes, you will learn three basic stitches: chain stitch, single crochet and double crochet! Each class will consist of a single 1 ½ hour session. Ages 10 and up: Please register at libraryevents@auburnalabama.org for one class to secure your spot! Classes are capped at 6 students, so don t delay! What you need to bring: One crochet hook (size G or larger) and one skein of light colored, medium-weight yarn. 10 Saturday STEM Storytime Preschoolers 2nd grade children and their caregivers are invited to join us for a storytime on Saturday mornings that is all about STEM. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. This storytime will focus on these concepts in a fun, interactive, story-driven format. Please note: Some activities may involve messy fun!
