2 Welcome New Students to Haskell! "Happy New Y ear... Welcome to Haskell! " Day 1: Saturday, January 2 Learn about our campus and resources! Step 1 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Navarre Hall Room 114 Check- in: This is the first step for all students. Students will receive an information packet that contains materials and information related to Orient at ion event s and act ivit ies. Step 2 After check- in, proceed to the Regents Room for the following: - Haskell Photo Identif cation Card - Register Your Vehicle - Sign up for & WiFi Password - Campus Mail (yes...people still write letters) Step 3 Proceed to the Bursar's Office located in the southeast area of Navarre Hall. Students will pay or discuss payment options for fee$. Step 4 - On campus students On Campus Students once you have completed steps 1-3: you can proceed to your residence halls. - Blalock Hall - Freshmen Men - Pocahontas Hall - Freshmen Women - O/K Hall - Transfer Students Step 5 1:00 p.m. Audit orium Welcome to Haskell Hosted by Dr. Venida Chenault 1:15 to 2:15 p.m. Auditorium Q&A for Parents and Students You will have the opportunity to meet and learn about programs, services, and activities to support your success. You will have to go to Pushmataha Hall starting today. - Student ID is required for all meals - Brunch (10am- 12pm) & Dinner (4:30-6:30pm) Spring Enrollment Day - All Students! Day 4: Monday, January 4 Engage in your enrollment! 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Enrollment for Continuing Students - For students who did not pre- enroll - See your advisor 9 a.m. Enrollment Prep for New Students Auditorium All students new to Haskell must attend this informative session hosted by Academics. The goal at the conclusion of this session is to have you develop a "tentative" pre- enrollment schedule. - Bring a pen/pencil - Arrive on t ime - Ask Quest ions - Receive YOUR regist rat ion mat erials 1:00-4:00 p.m. Enrollment for New & Re- admitted Students - New students: You will locate your Advisor (hint: name is on your f older) and complet e your enrollment. - Readmitted students: see your Advisor or you can visit wit h Ms. Hara, Regist rar/navarre Hall. 5:00 p.m. Show Your School Spirit! Cof f in Complex Break out that new Haskell gear and join the crowd at the "Coffin". Students are admitted free with your Haskell ID card. Come out and cheer on our Haskell Women's Basketball team. * Af ter the game...7:30-9:30 p.m. Jim Thorpe Fitness Center will host an open house for all students to Welcome them Back to campus. Door prizes and informational tables on staying healthy and keeping your New Years's Resolution. Stop by and learn about the "Jim". New st udent s: After you enroll take your official schedule to the Library (Tommaney Hall) for your textbooks for all 100/200 level courses. Students enrolled in 300/400 level classes - textbooks are your responsibility. Check out local bookstores or online services to rent or purchase.

Here are some suggestions to fill your time - - After Brunch (10 a.m.- 12 p.m.) - Explore campus - Pick up school supplies (pens/not ebooks, et c.) - Unpack and arrange your room 1:30 p.m. Auditorium Honoring Your Heritage: Past, Present and Future- Prepare Yourself f or - All students attending are encouraged to wear a shirt from your old high school, state, or Tribe. This afternoon you are invited to participate and learn, discover, and engage in the living history of Haskell. Dr. Theresa Milk, Professor/Indigenous & American Indian Studies, will provide an overview of the rich and unique history of Haskell. Other activities this afternoon include: - A student panel will facilitate a talking circle so you can meet new people. - Student- leaders will issue a "challenge" to all new st udent s - Learn our school song - Spring 2016 class photo. 4:30-6:30 p.m. Dinner Curt is Hall 7:00 p.m. Purple & Gold Cof f in Complex Haskell Men's Basketball team has a home game t onight.
