2 What Else is Happening! Continued from page 1 SUMMER CAMP. Registration is now open for our new summer camp here at Sacred Heart through KidCam Camps! You may register online by clicking here. Please be sure to choose Sacred Heart Baton Rouge as your region. For more information, please see page 7 or contact KidCam (kidcambr@gmail.com or ). SCHOOL LITURGY. Our weekly school liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 7, 8 a.m. Mass leaders are students in 3B (Fisher). Altar servers will be James McKay, Carter Schmitt, and Leslie Stevens. Students, remember your dress uniforms and don t forget to bring an item for the Sacred Heart of Jesus St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry. Parents, you are always invited to attend our school liturgies. MEN S CLUB GOLF TOURNAMENT. Things are gearing up on the pro golf circuit, as evidenced by the return of the annual Men s Club Golf Tournament! No green jackets here, just lots of fun and fellowship on Monday, March 12, Webb Park Memorial Course! Please see page 8 for more information. CLASS PICTURES. Mark your calendars for Friday, March 16, and join us for Coffee on the Plaza at 7:15 a.m.! It s a great time to visit with Sacred Heart of Jesus parents! STATIONS OF THE CROSS. Stations of the Cross will be each Friday during Lent at 2 p.m. in the church. Students in third through eighth grade attend weekly. All parents are invited to attend. HOLY THURSDAY PROCESSION. We re less than a month away from our beautiful Holy Thursday service, which concludes with a beautiful procession through the church led by the children of Sacred Heart Church and School. Please see page 3 for more information and to sign up your child to participate. TIGER TRACKS Orders are being accepted NOW for Tiger Tracks ! ParentingU, a new iniative by Our Lady of the Lake Children s Health, presents a seminar on Anxiety in Children and Teens on Thursday, March 8, 6 p.m. The event will be held at the LSU Health Medical Education and Innovation Center, 5246 Brittany Drive, Baton Rouge. Thank you so much for your support of Sacred Heart through your generous donation!! Tiger Trails This year s Tiger Trails will be on Monday, March 19. We have some exciting new changes to the day! CrossFit Kingfish Downtown plans on bringing an enjoyable experience to the students of Sacred Heart with some challenging fitness stations! Stations will include obstacle courses, gymnastics movements, teamwork drills, and will be tons of fun! With volunteers helping at each of the 4-5 stations, they will have a short window of time to teach the kids the requirements of each, followed by a short window in which the children will be able to test their abilities! Be on the lookout for forms to come home this week!!! You are invited Our next Parent Social will be tonight, Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall The theme is Vision for the Future. This is an Adults only social. This is a great opportunity to enjoy some social time together and discuss the bright future of our school! Childcare will not be provided for this evening. Students, however, will not have any homework assigned tonight in order to minimize the burden on families. Wine and refreshments will be served. Our 2018 Tiger Gala was a huge success!!
