Additions and changes to this schedule can be found at Marilyn Horne Museum & Exhibit Center The Marilyn Horne Museum and Exhibit Center was created to celebrate the life and career of world-renowned mezzo-soprano Marilyn Horne. The 3,400 square-foot space features costumes, interactive exhibits, objects from Horne s personal collection, and a theater space that recreates the look and feel of an 18th-century Italian opera house. Tours will be available on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 29 & 30, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Sunday, Oct. 1, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information contact Matthew Hileman, manager, at hileman@pitt.edu. During his tenure, the university has met and conquered some of the greatest challenges facing higher education. Join us to wish Dr. Alexander well, and to hear his personal take on all that we ve accomplished together and the great opportunities that lie ahead. You ll also be able to learn more about academic programs, see demonstrations of emerging technologies, and view student work. The annual college and community collaboration features many pumpkin-themed children s events, games, hayrides, and vendors. Veterans Square will feature Pitt-Bradford students from several clubs and organizations providing various activities and games specifically for children. Performances by students and live bands will occur throughout the day. A food court and beer tent will offer an array of local favorites, including steak and sausage sandwiches, chicken barbecue, hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza, nachos, kettle corn and much more! Attire: We hope you ll wear your Pitt blue and gold. Wick Chapel This nondenominational worship service is open to the entire campus and Bradford communities. Saturday, Sept p.m. The Jason Bishop Show Bromeley Family Theater, Blaisdell Hall Jason Bishop might read your mind one second or make goldfish appear the next. All alumni are welcome to share their expertise and experiences with students who want to learn more about their professions and career decisions at this annual networking event. Attire: Business Casual Sponsor: County National Bank, Division of Management & Education, Office of Career Services and the PBAA Cost: Advance reservations are required. $10/person, free to current students, faculty & staff Meet Brandolon Barnett 07 Brandolon Barnett is a director with Global Impact. He works to support Global Impact s Corporate Social Responsibility client teams as a consultant and leads Growfund (MyGrowfund.org). Growfund is a nonprofit fintech startup being incubated within Global Impact. Brandolon shepherds a $1 million seed investment from the Gates Foundation and Global Impact and oversees all elements of the business from team to operations, strategy, partnerships, business development, marketing, etc. bringing $2 million in assets under management, 10 corporate clients, and more than 4,000 users in just the platform s first 10 months. Prior to leading Growfund, Brandolon successfully managed NGO programs in major US markets and on the ground in five countries. He has used this experience to help others analyze the effectiveness of their work during stints as analytics manager for nonprofit technology company Frontstream/ TRUiST, as a senior researcher with the Council on Foundations, and even now as a corporate social responsibility consultant with Global Impact. Brandolon is passionate about his work and is a respected speaker on topics related to diversity in philanthropy, impact measurement and investing, giving trends, and more. He is also active as a volunteer, serving as the chair of an advisory committee for international volunteering organization NGO Globe Aware, on the measurement committee for the United Nations-sponsored Impact 2030 initiative, on the advisory board of several studies into issues including financial obstacles to international grantmaking, global philanthropic infrastructure, and more.
