Committee Members Absent: Jennifer Salib, Ed Keller Visitors Present: Wendy Mitchell, David Sahakyan, Rocio de Valk II. Hearing of Visitors None. III. Communications a. Board Report- The LCAP and Tech Committees presented a draft of their plans and are waiting on more input. Western Sierra presented a dual enrollment plan with Sierra College. b. Administration Report- Robin Stout reported that she attend the Charter School Advocacy Day in Sacramento along with 3 Western Sierra students, Mrs. Chappell and a parent. One high school student reported to the RA Board about their experience. c. Finance Committee Rep. Ace Ensign reported a deficit year for Budget to be presented at the next RA Board meeting for review and approval. AGC Reports were presented with current PSP balances. PSPs plan to submit checks to administration for AGC budgeted items at the end of the school year. d. PFC Working Groups i. Grant Writing Work Group No Update. ii. Technology No Update iii. Annual Giving No Update. e. Local PSP Reports i. Gateway Just finished Teacher Appreciation Week and the Father/Daughter Dance sold over 400 tickets. Planning end of the year Gator Jam (T-5th) and Gator Beach Bash (6th- 7th) as well as an Art Show at the upcoming Core Knowledge Night. Fireworks Scrip on sale as fundraiser via WSCA PSP. Local Author, Marc Schmatjen, and Artist, Shane Page 3 of 7

4 Rocklin Academy Family of Schools PSP and Fundraising Committee!!! Grammar presented to students on campus via ACG funds. Elections update: Candidate applications for VP, Treasurer, Secretary and Fundraising Coordinator were received. ii. Meyers Just finished Teacher Appreciation Week and Core Knowledge Night/Student Art Show is this Thursday. Elections update: 2 Fundraising/Event Coordinators applications were received. All other positions still open. iii. Turnstone Just finished Teacher Appreciation Week and Core Knowledge Night is next week. Planning Field Day for the end of the year and preparing the last AGC Letter for parents. Elections update: Candidate applications for all positions have been received. iv. Western Sierra Planning for the 8 th Grade Promotion Ceremony and Senior Graduation. At the Senior Scholarship Night the PSP awarded $6000 in scholarships via the Fireworks Booth and $2000 via the AGC. The microphones and a sound system for the stage have been ordered. Jose Di Gregorio, a local artist came to work with WSCA students on an art mural via Annual Gala Funds and the story was covered on FOX news. Elections update: No applications for open positions received at this time. IV. Consent Items a. Approval of Minutes Motion to approve February 22nd minutes by LaNette Barnum/Don Piet motion passed (4-0) Sharon Suggs abstained Motion to approve May 2 nd minutes by LaNette Barnum/Sharon Suggs motion passed (5-0) V. Old Business a. PFC Officer Vacancies [Review & Action] Since the open PFC Chair and Vice Chair positions announcement was not sent out to Western Sierra families discussion was held to ensure that all parents have to opportunity to participate in the process. Motion to resend PFC positions announcement out at all sites and extend the deadline for Chair and Vice Chair Applications until June 17th by LaNette Barnum/Don Piet motion passed (5-0) b. Field Trip Funding Communication [Review] RA Board approved the PFC s request for field trips to be removed from the Annual Giving Campaign. Plans for how to best communicate this information to parents and staff before next year s AGC were discussed. VI. New Business a. Introduction of New PSP Representatives Rescheduled for June 27 th Meeting. Page 4 of 7

PSP Communication and AGC Platform (PT Office) [Review & Action] Benefits of the using PT Office were discussed as a communication and AGC platform for next year. John Reedy offered to assist with the tech side and LaNette Barnum the point of contact with Brent LaFoley at PT Office. Motion for the PFC to work with RA Administration to setup and use PT Office beginning with the school year by Sharon Suggs/LaNette Barnum motion passed (5-0) VII. PFC Officers Chair John Reedy (acting) The PFC needs to make a recommendation to the Board of Directors to fill the Chair role for the term. Vice-Chair Vacate The PFC needs to make a recommendation to the Board of Directors to fill the vacate Vice-Chair role and then to serve for the term. Secretary Donna Jenkins Donna is willing to continue to serve as the Secretary for the term. The PFC needs to make a recommendation to the Board of Directors on the reappointment of Donna for the term. For the Chair and Vice-Chair, the PFC Charge states that the PFC will solicit volunteers of interest and the Committee will review submissions and make a recommendation to the Board for approval. ACTION REQUIRED: PFC needs to provide its recommendations for the July Board meeting. Page 6 of 7
