2 . Teen Ambassadors Meet on May 3rd This group will be hosting a couple of Summer Day Camps: June 8 Fairgrounds Annex June 22 Food Cache H.S. This is a county-wide Leadership & Citizenship Club open to any 4-H member in 7th 12th grade. This group puts on the Jr. Roundup, summer camps, and participates in a variety of leadership development activities. Group Leader Annis Godfrey 4-H Culinary Creations Training for 4-H Volunteers to become a certified shooting sports instructor in a specific discipline June 17th & 18th 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. Tishomingo, OK Photography Club The photography club meets on one Saturday, a month at the Lawton Public Library Meeting Room 1 from 10 am 12 pm District Food Showdown (Top 2 Senior Teams) Group Leader Cherri Lambert Where: Stephens County Fairgrounds What: Shooting Sports Instructor Training This is a county-wide project group open to any Comanche County 4-H member with an interest in photography. When: Tuesday, May 31 What: Comanche County Shooting Sports Practice - Saturday Mornings ~ Must be 10 yrs. + Leaders/Instructors: Garrett Jackson & Brett Barrett Table Setting & Cup Cake Wars (9-19 years) There will be Age Divisions in the Table Setting and Cup Cake Wars Competitions. WHEP is open to returning members ages 9 and above as well as any other new members that want to learn about the Wildlife Habitat Education Program. Great activity area for those interested in wildlife and related project areas. Builds teamwork and relationships for members interested in a project club. Learn more at or call the Extension Office. 3 Duncan 4-H Spring Trap Shoot Saturday, May 7, 2016 Duncan Gun Club, Duncan, OK 8:00 a.m. Practice houses open 8:00 a.m. Registration 9:00 a.m. Trap Shoot Begins Pre-Registration for this Shoot is April 27th! All shooters will need: *Current 4-H Enrollment *Youth Participation Form 1 *Oklahoma Hunter Education Number County Officer Elections Monday, May 9th at 6:00 p.m. Sunset Room/Prairie Building Each Comanche County Club can bring 3 Voting Delegates. Each delegate can only represent one club and must be 9 years old to participate. Candidates will give a campaign speech before voting begins. Record Books & Awards County Record books are a great way for youth to share their learning experiences, successes, and service in a particular area of interest through a county competition. The completed and final record book & awards will be due in the Extension Office WEDNESDAY, June 8th! 4 95th Oklahoma State Roundup July 27-29, 2016 (County Night out July 26th) Youth must be 13 years of Age by January 1, 2016 or have completed the 7th Grade to attend Roundup. Roundup is an exciting trip for 4-H, as delegates get to attend a variety of workshops, hear great speakers, attend a prestigious awards ceremony And stay on the OSU Campus in Stillwater! REGISTRATION & MONEY DUE May 11th!!!!! Registration is $135 Plus $29.50 for county night out. Money will also be needed for approximately 5 meals that are not included in the registration. Those who plan to attend Roundup must attend an orientation. Orientations will be held: Wednesday, May 5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 10:00 p.m. Thursday, May 5:30 p.m.

5 Walk, run, or ride through the Wichita Mountains on Wednesday June 1 st for the first ever Southwest District 4-H Bike Ride. This is a fundraising event for the State Project Change for Change. Change for Change raises funds to benefit the Oklahoma Children s hospital and children s miracle network; these charities help bring doctors to Oklahoma, pay for treatment, and pay for research of diseases. The registration fee will be $15 and lunch will be provided.
