2 First Family Chimes Sermon This Sunday Message from God s Word Pastor s Bible Study Jesus Among Secular Gods Meets on Sundays at 6:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall (by the Sanctuary). Friday, September 22 5:30-8:00 p.m. Volunteers and participants can register by September 19 by calling the church office or PURE Fun! is a ministry for families that have children with special needs. It exists to provide a brief respite for your family. Parents drop their children off at church with our volunteers and take a well-deserved break to spend time doing things they enjoy. We look forward to meeting your family! Siblings are welcome.

3 Volume 82, Number 37 Education Ministry Georgia Baptist Disaster Relief Buckets of Care for those affected by Hurricane Harvey in Texas We are putting together Buckets of Care. The buckets will be provided. We will have a listing of items needed beginning this Sunday in the foyers of the Sanctuary and Family Life Center. If you can help, please bring these items to the church office. Thank you! Rev. Terry Sampson Sunday School Perfect Attendance Recognition We will recognize those who had perfect attendance in Sunday School for the church year on Sunday, October 1. If you had perfect attendance, please call the church office by Monday, September 18. Music Ministry Join Us In Choir Each Week Preschool and Children s Choirs meet at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesdays. First Voices Choir meets at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesdays. Rev. Ron Hatchett Wednesday Night Supper Family Night Supper - September 13 Menu: Baked Chicken, Yellow Rice, Cabbage, Rolls, Tossed Salad & Dessert (Kid s Choice Menu Available) Cost: $7.00-Ages 13 & up; $5.00-Ages 4-12; $24.00-Family Limit Please make reservations or cancellations by 11:00 a.m. on Mondays. On the honor system, since food is purchased and prepared for you, cancellations not made should be paid. Page 3

Taught by Benny Olliff and Dennis Massie and meets in the Adult Building. The Story, Getting to the Heart of God s Story by Randy Frazee. Pastor and author, Randy Frazee, presents 31 ten-minute teachings on how the story of Scripture God s great overarching purpose intersects with the story of your life. Taught by Rev. Ron Hatchett and Rev. Avery Kelly and meets in the Adult Building Room 108. Sunday nights are high energy for Youth. There are games, funny videos, theme nights things get a little crazy. And really fun. We dig deep in God s Word and find that it intersects with our everyday life. This is where we belong. This is where we are at home. This is where we can let our guard down and start being real. Led by Mr. Jared Green and meets in the Family Life Center.
