9 [Above News article retyped for readability] Approximately 200 members of the 821 st Combat Security Police Squadron departed last week for Ft. Campbell, Ky., for a 10-week field exercise. Although a few personnel left here April 21, the main body of the unit departed April 23. They were flown in C-130 Hercules aircraft of the 31 st Tactical Airlift Wing in two-shift, the first leaving at 8 a.m. the other at 1:30 p.m. The field exercise will be conducted by the 82 nd Combat Security Wing at Ft. Campbell. The training is similar to the advanced infantry training given by the Army. It includes patrol techniques, land navigation, physical training, first aid, heavy weapons, ambush techniques and other related subjects. The 10-week period will be split between classroom and field training. Other 821 st flights are scheduled to take the same training at later dates. 5.2_12-821st CSPS depart for Fort Campbell "Joined To Fight" Vietnam Security Police Association, Inc.
