3 TCSPA Notes to Parents: Our Military Ball is considered drill time. It will count toward the Cadets 75% attendance record. We will have a number of VIP guests, so make sure the cadets uniforms are ship-shape, and their behavior is top notch! Staff/adults are $20 ($25 at the door), cadets and MIDN are $15, & the max for any immediate family will be $55. For all cadets who attended Sep. drill, it's free. If any parent or cadet is not receiving the monthly POM or other s, contact LTJG Miller at gsmillermn@outlook.com Recruiting Drive - We are looking to add 20 new cadets to the unit and we need your help! Please print the Recruiting Flyer and post in as many places in and around your neighborhood, school and places you frequent as you can. Parents can help promote too. Prospective Cadets can either visit for a drill weekend or attend a briefing as their "first step". Briefings are held the FIRST Tuesday of every month ( ) at the drill center. Of course, still personally invite your friends to join in the adventure. Please let LTJG Miller, L at lsmillermn@gmail.com know you are bringing guests. UA/LOA Requests - Absence from Drill/LOA Requests: Any Sqdn member having been UA (unexcused absence) for two drills during the last three months may receive a warning . A third UA within any three months will result in disenrollment. Any request for a cadet of Absence (LOA) must be made by the cadet PERSONALLY to the cadet's Squad Leader or division LPO and then approved by the CO. Any request for an excused absence by officers from a drill must be approved by the CO. LOA requests for officers also require approval by NHQ. Correspondence Courses - Several cadets owe correspondence coursework in order to be advanced. Not doing your coursework not only affects your advancement but it also negatively affects our Squadron on the annual inspection. All correspondence courses to be graded should be ed to LTJG Cameron at training.twincitiessquadron@gmail.com at least 5 days prior to drill. You must use the answer sheets (NSCTNG 028). These are located on HomePort under the Administration tab under Training Forms. Your coursework will not be graded unless it is turned in on the correct form. Questions? LTJG Cameron at training.twincitiessquadron@gmail.com. Petty Officer Advancement Examinations - Notify LTJG Cameron via at training.twincitiessquadron@gmail.com. At least 4 days prior to drill if you need to take a Petty Officer Advancement exam at drill. Doodle It is the individual cadet s responsibility to respond to the Doodle callout. You MUST call your squad leader to confirm your attendance and your understanding of the POM. If you do not know who your squad leader is, contact ENS Miller G at gsmillermn@outlook.com

Watch bill: Section First Call to Colors Morning Colors All Cadets: Final Uniform prep, Drill deck (supply will be open if needed) All Cadets: Change into NWU s Inducs: Core Values, PO3 Kubes; Classroom A NSCC: Leadership, PO Foster; Classroom B NLCC: Coursework & testing; XO Smith; Drill deck All Cadets: Seamanship, LPO & squad leaders; Drill deck Lunch: Ship s store will be open, or bring a bag lunch All Cadets & available staff muster for departure; Drill deck; 1300 Depart for pool: Washington Technology Magnet School 1495 Rice Street Saint Paul, MN Go in the main entrance to the school and turn left to enter the pool area. Entrance to the pool is on the main floor. Male and Female locker rooms will be open for changing All Cadets and available staff: Muster inside main door of school All Cadets: Swim qualifications.1600 Parents will pick up Cadets at the pool promptly at 1600 (4PM) Parents who cannot pick up their Cadets on time may collect their abandoned cadets from LT Smith at the reserve center. I suggest arriving by 1545 (3:45)
