2 Board of Veterinary Medicine Clause Ce) a general statement of board activties The Board of Veterinary Medicine 15 the licensng agency for veterinarians n Minnesota, established under Hlnn. Stat. 156 to ensure that veterinary practitioners meet and maintain competency standards. The Board reviews all license applications. preparing and administering the State Board Examination and administering the National Board Examination and Clinical Competency Test to qualified applicants. Consumer complaints are processed and nvestigated. When ndicated. the Board nspects veterinary premises for sanitation. conducts disciplinary hearings and disciplines veterinarians found to be n violation of Minn. Stat The Board also develops, alters or amends rules governing the practice of veterinary medicine n Minnesota. The Board sets fees to ensure recovery of the costs of ts operation.
