Commanders, keep an eye on your cadets and make sure they are doing what is required of them. Respect each other and notify superiors of any problems. Below is a brief history of JROTC Rifle Team that could help you when marksmanship training comes along. Quick Tips/Reminders Here are a few tips/reminders for our newly joined LET-1 s and above! Learn the names and ranks of your staff, both company and battalion. Respect your teachers and school staff. Don t be afraid to ask questions and speak up in the classroom (at the right moment, of course). Rifle Team is a competition in which you shoot the Daisy M.177 or the Crosman PCP Challenger Air Rifles against other cadets in the three shooting positions: standing, kneeling, and prone. Each position is worth 100 points for a total score of 300 points. Rifle Team has been a national sport dating back many, many years ago. The sport originated using the combined bow and arrow, and developed over time into the use of rifles for military competitions, and air rifles for high school competitions. Today, Rifle Team is a national and Olympic sport competing all across the world. All these guidelines and more are very important and if violated you will receive two verbal warnings and Demerits on the third violation. In other, more extreme cases, they might be handled differently with more intense punishments.

League County 15 Nov. Rifle State A Word From The Rifle Team Commander Rifle Teams main goal this year is to demolish all competition. Rifle Team Commander LTC Ferry feels very confident that her newly assembled team of skilled shooters will dominate. We have a lot of potential, says LTC Ferry, We ve been shooting with Mr. Ron, and practicing all the small things that help our shooting, such as breathing and muscle memory. Some new members have already excelled in Rifle Team. Ben Chambers, Echo Company s Executive Officer, is to be put onto A Team in the first week. A Team and B Team both bring high hopes to LTC Ferry, who aspires for a team score total of 1000 points. That means each shooter scoring up to a total of 250 points or more. Celebrating Homecoming with Honor Honor Guard graced their presence at the Homecoming Assembly and football game. The Homecoming Assembly Color Guard Team kicked off the assembly by intertwining their routine with the Honor Guard. After all the candidates for queen walked under the beautiful array of arches, formed by our Honor Guard, the Honor Guard concluded with a Monster Step file-out which impressed many students and teachers. The next day, at the football game, Honor Guard kicked off the National Anthem with a flag detail, raising the flag as our nation s song rang through the stadium. Their routine was similar to the assembly, but much faster and with very snappy movements. Credit to Samuel Samberson for organizing this brilliant team.

5 Dolor Sit Amet Featured Cadet PVT Payton Brewer Echo Company, 1st Squad, Guide-on PVT Brewer plays football as a defensive tackle and has a total of 4 sacks on the quarterback in his freshman year. He spends most of his time hunting and working with wood for art and construction. He plans to join fishing club in his second semester of this year. He plans to join the Marine Corps as an infantryman and afterwards, retire and become a mechanic. When he retires, he wants to live in Guffy, Colorado. If you would like to meet PVT Brewer, he is in 5th hour, Echo Company. Cadet of the Month Congratulations to cadet PFC Cheyenne Moran for winning September Cadet of the Month. Honor Company Congratulations to Charlie Company for earning the title of Honor Company for September.
