1 Ministry of Home Affairs Disaster Management Division National Emergency Response Centre (NERC) **** Situation report on Heavy Rain fall in Kerala, Karnataka, Assam, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Odisha and Nagaland [As on 19 th September 2018 at 1800 Hrs.] As per information received from SEOCs Kerala, Karnataka, Assam, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Odisha and Nagaland due to flood/heavy rainfall/landslide the following damages have been reported during current monsoon season: 1. Kerala: Till date i. Rainfall mm with Name 14 ( Kannur, Kollam, Kasaragod, Alappuzha, Thrissur, Kozhikode, Palakad, Malappuram, Pathanamthitta, Ernakulam, Kottayam, Idukki, Thiruvananthapuram, Wayanad) i Population effected 54,11,712 iv. Human lives lost 501 v. No. of missing 15 vi. No. of injured 140 During last 24 hours v Houses damaged Fully1952 Partially Fully Partially vi Animal deaths Animal: 46,867 Poultry 1,72,02,457 ix. No. of persons evacuated x. No. of Relief camp opened xi. NDRF At present 02 teams of NDRF consisting of 96 rescuers and 10 boats are deployed. From 9 th August, 2018 to 21 st August, 2018, NDRF has rescued 535 persons, evacuated persons, retrieved dead bodies 10, rescued livestock 119 and medical assistance provided to 5562 persons. Population effected 3,50,000 v. Human lives lost 180 vi. No. of missing 03 v No. of injured 04 vi Houses damaged ix. Animal affected 825 x. No. of persons evacuated xi. No. of Relief camp opened x Inmates in relief camps xi Relief material distributed Food, Water, and Medicine etc. Providing food, Blankets, Milk, Medicine etc Ha xv. Infrastructure damage Damages to roads, bridges/culverts, irrigation tanks, electrical poles, transformers. Assistance provided by Government of India: i. NDRF 01 Teams of NDRF consisting of 38 rescuers with 03 boats are deployed. NDRF has rescued 40 persons, evacuated 465 persons and retrieved 4 dead bodies.
