October 7, Officers participated in the 3 rd Annual Pine Valley Gun Club Blue Shoot to benefit the Camden County Hero Scholarship Fund October 10, Officers participated in the annual PHFD Fire Prevention Night at Station 62 October 14, Honor Guard presented the Colors at the 4 th Annual CCAATF Candle Light Vigil. October 26, Officers participated in the annual OHS Trunk or Treat event. October 27, Officers joined Mayor Green and staff for the annual John H. Glenn 1 st Grade visit to the Borough. October 28, PHPD participated in the semi-annual DEA Operation Take Back OVER 160lbs of medication turned in! October 31, Officers discussed Halloween Safety will all classes at both the Dr. Albert Bean and John H. Glenn Elementary Schools. See Community Oriented Programs on page 3 for additional events. SIGNIFICANT TRAINING Ptl. Bruey successfully completed the 40 hour NJSP DWI Detection & SFST Course Sgt. Farrell, Sgt. Barrett and Ptl. Marino successfully completed the 16 hour Excited Delirium & Chaotic Events Instructor Course Det. Pierson, Ptl. Monitzer and Ptl. Kramer successfully completed the 16 hour Sig Sauer Armorer Certification Course Ptl. McElroy, and SRO DiGiacomo participated in the Red Dot/Green Dot program at PHMS in recognition of Anti-Bullying/Week of Respect. Ptl. Bruey and Ptl. Locotos participated in the John Glenn School Anti- Bullying Poster Contest. Ptl. Bruey presented a Social Media Safety Assembly to the 5 th Grade Students at the Dr. Albert Bean School. Officers attended the 3 Screens Assembly at PHMS in recognition of Red Ribbon Week. Chief Winters and Det. Pierson along with members of the DEA met with OHS students for an Anti-Drug presentation for Red Ribbon Week. Officers participated in the 3 rd Annual Trunk or Treat at Overbrook High School. Officers attended the Halloween Parade at both the John Glenn and Dr. Albert Bean School. Ptl. Bruey met with students at PHMS during their gym class for a team building assembly for Red Ribbon Week. Officers participated in the Dr. Albert Bean School Basketball Shootout. Sgt. Field, SRO DiGiacomo, SLEO II Clayton presented at the John Glenn School for career day. Officers met with students at both the John Glenn and Dr. Albert Bean School for Halloween Safety Tips. 1 st Grade Students from the John Glenn School met with Officers for a tour of the Police Station along with the Borough Hall. MUNICIPAL ALLIANCE Members assisted with PHPD LEAD Halloween Safety Materials BICYCLE PATROL shifts / 3 proactive patrols / 20 Special Detail hours MISCELLANOUS EVENTS Chief Winters and SRO DiGiacomo attended a school safety and security seminar in Cherry Hill hosted by The New Jersey Association of School Resource Officers PHPD participated in the Pine Hill Fire Department Fire Prevention Night at Station 62.
