Additional responsibilities include: Developing tools and methods to perform field assessments in the area of fatality management and disaster response, deploying to incidents, exercising command and control of MESORT team at the scene of an incident, preparing and delivering briefings, presentations and reports that detail the outcomes of trainings, exercises, and deployments. As well as represent the OCME at relevant Citywide and multi-agency task forces, meetings, and planning initiatives. City Research Scientist III, Environmental Emergency Response & Remediation Specialist 2007 to 2010 NYC Department of Health, Environmental Emergency Preparedness and Response Serve as technical expert on radiation and hazardous materials environmental emergency response and mitigation for the All-Hazards Environmental Response Unit. Project manager for the following initiatives: establishing environmental monitoring parameters for radiological and hazardous materials incidents and sites, urban radiological remediation, research and design of environmental monitoring and sampling systems, environmental data management, agency-wide all hazards plan coordinator. Other responsibilities include: environmental investigation of sites contaminated by radiological, other hazardous materials, citywide occupational health and safety planning, coordination and planning of training drills, workshops and large-scale special event operations.
