1 SEVENTY-FOURTH REGIMENT OHIO VOLUNTEER INFANTRY, THREE YEARS SERVICE. This Regiment \vas organized at Columbus, Enon, Xenia, Hamilton and Cincinnati, Ohio, from October 5, 1861, to March 27, 1862, to serve three years. On the expiration of its term of service, the original members (except vet erans), were mustered out, and the organization, composed of veterans and when it was mustered out in recruits, retained in service until July 10, 1865, accordance with orders from the War Department. The official list of battles, in which this Regiment bore an honorable part, is not yet published by the War Department, but the following list has been compiled, after careful research, during the preparation of this work : STONE.
