29 NOTICE OF MARINE CASUALTY Immediate notification to the Coast Guard Immediate notification means AFTER addressing safety concerns. The owner, agent, master, operator or person in charge shall notify the nearest Sector Office, Marine Inspection Office, or Coast Guard Group office. Reporting to Sector Houston Galveston can be accomplished by contacting the Sector Watch Center over VHF Ch. 16 or by phone ( ). 29
30 WRITTEN REPORT OF MARINE CASUALTY Within 5 days form CG-2692 must be submitted to the nearest Sector Office, or Marine Inspection Office. NOTE: The written report is in addition too the Immediate notification required by 46 CFR NOTE: Notification made under 33 CFR satisfies the notification requirement (hazardous condition as defined by 33 CFR ). 30
