17 Mandatory/Priority Sources VA Mandatory Prime Vendors MCKESSON: The Pharmaceutical Prime Vendor is an innovative contract method used to provide drugs and other pharmaceuticals to our nation s and Veterans and other federal Government agencies. CARDINAL HEALTH 200: The program is mandatory for all VA medical centers and consists of seven prime vendor contracts. Medical Centers pay prime vendors a distribution fee plus the product price. Product prices are primarily established by the Federal Supply Schedule Program (FSS), US FOODS: The Subsistence Prime Vendor (SPV) includes all food and foodservice supplies except for fresh bread, fresh milk, and fresh produce for just-in-time deliveries to all VA Medical Centers and eligible OGAs.
