Investigation revealed that this suspect was waiting in the parking lot of McDonalds, when the Manager and the victim exited the business and walked to the manager's vehicle. Once at the vehicle the manager was getting into the driver's side of the vehicle, while the victim stood by the driver's door. The manager had the weekend deposit for the business and was going to make a deposit at a nearby bank. The suspect then ran up to the vehicle holding a large revolver and demanded the money. At that time, the manager dropped the money bag in the vehicle and backed away. The victim then grabbed the suspect and tried ADLT WALKER, NESTA KAMELY ARREST REPORT Pg 2 of 5 Jail # ADLT

3 to stop him from taking the money, but the suspect shot the victim and fled the area with the money. The suspect then got into the listed vehicle and tried to flee the area. When the suspect tried to leave the parking lot, a witness put his vehicle in reverse and back into the suspect's vehicle. The suspect then got out of the parking lot and fled North on I-95. The witness then flagged down an officer and reported the incident. Sgt C. Byrd spotted the suspect vehicle at I 95 and Emerson Street and started to follow the vehicle until 8th and I-95. The suspect vehicle then crossed all lanes of traffic and exited off on to 8th Street. K9 Officer M.T. Summers then turned on his blue lights and siren trying to stop the suspect vehicle. Officer Summer chased the vehicle for several blocks, when the suspect bailed out of the vehicle and fled on foot. The suspect's vehicle kept going and came to rest on 9th Street. The suspect was apprehended by K9 and transported to the Homicide office to be interviewed. Rescue responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased. The suspect was interviewed by Det D. E. Nixon #7267. The suspect confessed that he robbed the manager with a firearm and shot the victim during the struggle. The suspect was booked into the PTDF.
