4 Activities This Camporee is co-sponsored by Troop 109 and the Goldenrod District. The main event is the Klondike, with the official sled. Other competitions will accompany the race, all activities are set up to learn about scout requirements in the morning and perform requirements in the afternoon with the race. Events: Participation and learning events will set up the day. These events will be scout requirement based. The main competition will be the Klondike with competition events during the race that mimic the events from the morning session, with prizes/ribbons going to the top patrol/troop in each event and for the Top Overall Patrol/Troop based upon individual event scoring and cumulative scoring. Ties for overall Patrol/Troop will be broken based on Patrol/Troop participation in non-scored activities as determined by the Camporee Staff. Scout Spirit: At each Rank, Scouts must demonstrate Scout spirit by living the Scout oath and Scout law in your daily life. In addition to event prizes, patrols/troops will compete for a Spirit prize. This will be awarded to the Patrol/Troop that consistently demonstrates Scout Spirit while participation in the events program. Patrol/Troops may receive up to 10 points at each event based on the subjective evaluation on how they conduct themselves. Patrol/Troop songs/chants/flags, appearance, leadership, teamwork, courtesy and behavior will count! Activities: When not participating in the Events, troops are encouraged to work on activities as a unit. Including other units into your activities is encouraged to show scout spirit and team play! Although main event points will not be awarded for these activities, scout spirit will be noticed. We highly encourage and would appreciate support from all the Troop Leaders in attendance to volunteer, provide supervision, and help score at all the events. You truly demonstrate how a Scout is Helpful and Scout Spirit by participating at this level! Reminder Scout Spirit is not just for the boys!
