1 SOUTH CAROLINA ARMY NATIONAL GUARD REGIONAL TRAINING INSTITUTE 4 th Battalion (Modular), 218 th Regiment (Leadership) 5411 Leesburg Road Easver, South Carolina NGSC-LDR-DCO 22 January 2018 MEMORANDUM FOR SEE DISTRIBUTION SUBJECT: Pre-Command Course, March The Pre-Command Course will be conducted at the McCrady Training Center March This course is an Adjutant General directed prerequisite for assuming command within the South Carolina Army National Guard. 2. Each Officer/CSM/1SG receiving this memorandum was selected by his/her chain of command attend this course. All applicants who are in a wait or reserved status in ATRRS will be accepted. A copy of the training schedule (enclosure 1) is provided for the attendees information. Special attention is directed the report time on Friday, 16 March The report time is firm and must be adhered. Attendees who are married are strongly encouraged bring their spouses and have them participate in activities planned by the Family Readiness Coordinar (FRC). If you live over 50 miles from McCrady Training Center, accommodations are available for you and your spouse by making reservations through the MTC Billeting Office. Cabins are limited so make your reservations as soon as possible. We understand some spouses may only be able attend Saturday and Sunday. 3. Additional information is provided as follows: a. REPORT TIME: Hours on Friday, 16 March b. LOCATION: Dozier Building (Building 3800/ Main Foyer) McCrady Training Center. Refer the attached strip map (Enclosure 2). c. STATUS: (1) Each attendee will be in an IDT status. Individuals with IDT issues will need contact unit chain of command for resolution with the DSCOPS/G3. (2) Spouses who are traveling separately and live over 50 miles from McCrady Training Center will be on Civilian Travel Orders. Please complete the spouse information form and return the POC as soon as possible but no later than 1 March See 3(h) & (i) in this memorandum.

2 NGSC-LDR-DCO SUBJECT: Pre-Command Course, March 2018 d. UNIFORM: (1) Commanders/CSM s/1sg s: OCP/ACU with patrol cap for classes; appropriate business casual attire for the social Saturday evening. (2) Spouses: Comfortable Casual. Recommend you bring a light sweater or long sleeve shirt because you will be in the classroom and it may get a little chilly. Saturday Evening appropriate business casual attire for social. Sunday - Comfortable casual, but recommend no dresses or skirts because select activities will require you sit on the ground. e. MEALS: Meals are available in the Dozier Building Crescent Moon Café. Meal costs are: Breakfast-$4.00, Lunch-$6.00, and Dinner-$8.00 Note (1): There will be a mandary class social Saturday evening where Barbeque Turkey and refreshments will be served. If there are any food allergies, please inform us immediately. f. BILLETING: McCrady Training Center will provide billeting for all students/spouses. If you live over 50 miles from McCrady Training Center, you will be reimbursed using the Defense Travel System (DTS) with IDT Travel. If you live within 50 miles of McCrady Training Center but wish stay overnight, you will need pay $13- $26 per night depending on the type of billet you reserve. Contact McCrady Billeting at make reservations. g. A $30.00 fee for each attendee and spouse will be collected at registration. This fee will be used as payment for snack/refreshments and Saturday s Social event. This fee will not be reimbursed. h. SPOUSE ATTENDANCE: If your spouse is attending, complete the enclosed information sheet (Enclosure 3) and it back MSG Adams at timothy.m.adams6.mil@mail.mil NLT 1 March 2018 in order for the travel be submitted in DTS by Family Services. i. SPOUSE STATUS: Invitational Travel Orders will be processed on all SC National Guard spouses indicating attendance on the attached information card for reimbursement of meal charge and travel. Additional information regarding these orders will be provided by the State Family Support Coordinar. j. Child Care: Family Services will have child care providers available upon request. 2
